We watched the NFL game (New Orleans vs. Green Bay). It was great.

one of my boys & I were stuck in traffic due to the power outage. I was MUCH more enjoyable than listening to Obama speak.

The speech garnered 31.5 million viewers, according to the website TVbythenumbers, which was slightly lower than his Sept. 2009 health care speech to Congress, which drew 32.1 million viewers and is probably the fairest comparison.

No, it means 31.5 million people's televisions were on the channel while he was speaking. Most of those people probably left the room when he pre-empted their regularly scheduled programming.

I turn the sound off whenever I see his face. Especially if I am eating.

I occasionally see a brief clip of him on FR, but I mute the sound so all I see is his head robotically turning back and forth from prompter A to prompter B. My catz have much more alert expressions!

I hadn't planned to watch or listen, couldn't anyway since I had no power but I was curious at some of the "reaction" to the speech. FoxNews played a couple clips for Cantor, Sessions and Gingrich and the meanness, the edge to Obama's delivery was far beyond anything I'd ever seen. It was totally inappropriate for the venue.

Same here. I read about it on the internet. I cannot listen to him talk. I just can't, something about his lying voice, his hideous face, I just can't listen. When I see him, this is what I see:

Jimmy Carter needs to run in the democratic primary against Obama. A chance for the two worst presidents in US history to square off against each other, it would be historic. Maybe it would be like Chip n’ Dale, “Mr. President I was much worse than you,” “Oh, no, no Mr. President, I respectfully disagree, I am much worse than you were.” Funny thing is, Carter would probably have a good shot to beat Obama, hell, anybody would have a good shot, especially Hilary, but it will never happen.

Funny you say that...I have exactly the same reaction, followed by a string of expletives deleted (quite colorful too, I might add)...

I actually get repulsed by seeing and him.

Even Slick Willie Klintoon didn’t make me have that reaction; his image, then as now, invokes a mild disgust and a shake of the head.

But THIS assclown...entirely different. This douche is purposely ripping the foundation out from under the country, and it just engenders sickness in me.
