ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Churches and religious groups opposing the governor's renewed push to repeal a law allowing illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses say their actions are part of a larger and growing advocacy effort aimed at promoting immigration reform on moral grounds. Organizations like the New Mexico Catholic Conference of Bishops and the Albuquerque Interfaith were among those in Santa Fe this week to protest Gov. Susana Martinez's efforts to rescind the state law. They argue the measure helps one of the state's most vulnerable populations.

For months, these coalitions of interfaith groups have called on their members to attend rallies in New Mexico's capital city

These churches have become very misguided, they ignore key parts of the bible, these churches act more like they worship a false God, for the one they speak of here, does not condone, document fraud, lying, stealing, cheating, so on, etc, etc, etc.

The golden calf crowd has been around as long as the ones that understand, obeying the law.

Once again the leftist mainline churches (Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, Episcopals) doing the bidding of their Soros master as they are aborting their own progeny and promoting illegal immigration.

Were the many members of the Navajo Way...(the Navajo religion) attending this protest?? Or was this a protest to benefit the illegals who lie to get NM driver’s license?

She has a serious conflict of interest now that she has admitted to being the spawn of illegals.

Any church that decides that they want to play politics should begin by starting to “pay their fair share” of taxes. If they don’t want to “pay their fair share”, they need to shut the hell up and stay out of this fight.

So... your reasoning is that the paying of taxes is the action the secures freedom of speech. Interesting. So if my church wants to protest abortion, they should pay some taxes to get to speak out?
Churches do not pay taxes because government has no authority to tax the church.

I left the ELCA for good when they started sponsoring Somali Muslims to colonize Minnesota while turning their backs on Sudanese Christians. Wish I would have done it 30 years earlier. Suicidal bastards.

They always seemed to have time, however, to preach from the pulpit how Mormons were a cult, Jehovah's Witnesses were a cult, Moonies were a cult, anyone who disagreed with their corrupt theology was a cult.

I can tell you now that I'd much rather have a Mormon, JW or a Moonie for a neighbor than one of their damn Somali Muslims, or an irresponsible ELCA moonbat for that matter either.

Tax their income, tax their real estate, tax their capital gains.

These churches will then have to face some reality.

I have been advocating this for the last 30+ years.

When politics gets preached from the pulpit or its extensions, that invalidates tax exemptions.

She is not responsible for her dead beat grandfather. The family is not sure of his immigration status because he abandoned the family when the governors father was young. The 1930 census records indicate “AL” in the “place of birth” field. AL means alien (born outside the United States). There is not proof that the dead beat grandfather was an illegal alien.

If the Catholic Church ever denies communion to Governor Martinez while giving communion to Nancy Pelosi-abortion my head will explode. Don’t ask me what I think about the Roman Catholic funeral that was given to Ted Kennedy.....

Gov. Martinez fighting voter fraud = immoral

Catholics supporting abortion and sodomy = "social justice"

Sad.

Of course she’s not responsible for things others did.
But she will still have a credibility problem with some when it comes to illegal alien issues. People will spin it both ways.

The situation is ironic because she has taken fairly strong positions against illegals.

The Catholic church is just awful on this issue. They pay lip service to condemning those who openly support abortionists, yet aggressively attack leaders and citizens for trying to protect their nation from law breaking aliens.

She has a serious conflict of interest now that she has admitted to being the spawn of illegals.

How do you feel about people whose grandfathers were:

1. Nazis

2. Soviets

3. Criminals

4. Poor

5. Rich

6. Slaves

7. Homosexual

8. Democrats.

Explain why it is SHE who has a conflict of interest.

Are there many people left in the ELCA? Could you say of hand how many people have left—10%, 20%, 30%? What have you done since you left your church?

Fully 37% of my vehicle insurance premiums are due to the cost of having insurance against UNINSURED motorists.

That amounts to over $400 a year for me.

Is the Catholic church going to send me a check of reimbursement???

They are definately part of the problem-—not part of the solution.

God’s Word clearly states to obey the laws of the land and these illegals have not. These liberal churches ignore that - so they can take their ‘moral grounds’ somewhere else - they want to reward disobedience to God’s Word and to the law of the land. They have no firm ground to stand on.

Technically funerals are for the living ~ the dead really don't care. However, Teddy's family paid good money for that one Fur Shur.

They forgot the stake though.
