SHE'S BACK! Palin Gushes Over Bachmann, Slams Perry For 'Crony Capitalism'
Business Insider ^ | September 13, 2011 | Grace Wyler

Posted on 09/13/2011 5:01:53 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

....SarahPalin popped up again in a post-debate interview Monday night with surprising praise for 2012 presidential contender Michele Bachmann, presumed by many to be her arch-rival for the Tea Party throne.

Taking a hard jab at her old pal RickPerry, Palin applauded Bachmann for going after the Texas governor's 2007 executive order mandating HPV vaccines for pre-teen girls....

In a post-debate interview with Fox's Greta VanSusteren, Palin affirmed Bachmann's criticisms and went after Perry for what she called "crony capitalism:"

That’s part of the problem that we have in this country is that people are afraid, even in our own party, to call one another out on that. True reform and fighting the corruption and fighting the crony capitalism is a tough thing to do within your own party. You have to go up against the big guns and they will try to destroy you when you call them out on the mistakes that they have made. Believe me, I know that, I have the bumps and bruises to prove it because that’s what I have been doing for the last 20 years … calling out the corruption in government. Michele Bachmann tried to make that point tonight and she’s going to get potentially crucified."

Despite the praise for Bachmann, however, Palin said she is still not satisfied with the current GOP field — and continued to tease a possible 2012 presidential run. But at this point, even the Mama Grizzly herself is sick of the dance.

“I’m sick of giving the same answer, believe me,” she said. “I’m anxious to give an answer and get on with life one way or the other. But whichever direction life takes me, I’m going to continue to speak up for we the people and the Tea Party movement and the Mama Grizzlies.”

I found it interesting, that after about the 20th time of repeating “innocent 11-12 year-old little girls” (in the Tampa CNN-Tea Party debate, CNN post-debate, Fox News post-debate), when asked by Greta VanSusteren if she believed Gov. Perry used an Executive Order for the cervical cancer vaccine to get $6000.00 or because he believed it was a good idea and would help fight the spread of this cancer, Michele Bachmann actually stopped talking for a couple of nanoseconds, paused and said that she couldn’t look into his heart and know that answer.

The answer is obvious to any honest person, that Gov. Perry did it to help fight cancer and hold down future medical costs (not make money, reward a company (Merck contributes $Millions to political groups yearly) - encourage girls to become sexually active or even suggest that they do). The best time to administer the HPV vaccine is when girls are young (they can contract this cancer from their husbands – get oral cancer – thank you Bill Clinton for your part in making America's youth think oral sex isn't sex).

About deaths from vaccines – over 400 people die yearly in the U.S. alone from penicillin allergies. All medicine carries risks -- have you watched an Rx commercial disclaimer lately?

And it was opt out. The governor’s EO allowed easier payment due to insurance restrictions. And it was not opposed by Dr. David Stevens, CEO of the Christian Medical Association.

Why CMA supported Perry's HPV vaccination order

Michelle Bachmann also called the 2001 Texas’ Dream Act akin to amnesty and compared it to the federal DREAM Act.

After CNN contributor Roland Martin's post debate comments [LINKED below], no one on the CNN Panel pointed out how Gov. Rick Perry was attacked by the other panelists for in-state tuition allowed for high school graduates (in Texas schools for 3 years) working for citizenship (allowed to attend U.S. schools by the Feds) so they will not be a burden on the American taxpayer -- "regardless of your last name."

Gov. Perry may well have put AZ, NM, NV, CO in the GOP column with Rick Perry on the 2012 GOP ticket and made 55 CA Electoral Votes viable pick-ups.

How CNN's analysts scored the debate

[snip] .....>>> Roland Martin, CNN contributor: "If you're a Latino voter, the last thing you wanted to hear was some of the stuff you heard tonight. Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico will be critical states when it comes to November 2012. The GOP did themselves no favors tonight with Latino voters.

"Education did not come up in this debate at all. The only moment it came up was about abolishing the Department of Education. If you're a parent trying to get your kid educated, not a single candidate offered anything to speak to the crisis we have in this country when it comes to education. Major failure in that."<<<..... Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), a Tea Party favorite whose struggling in the polls, ignited the crowd by calling Perry’s support for a bill in Texas providing in-state tuition for some undocumented immigration akin to “amnesty” and compared it to the federal DREAM Act. Perry said on stage that he opposes such legislation.

Gov. Rick Perry was the topic and the target at the debate.

Palin cannot win. She is swaying like a weak tree in the wind and expects everybody to cater to her. Crap or get off the pot, Sarah.

Bachmann jumped the shark and dragged Palin along with her. Both should shut up if they don't have facts or proof of wrong doing.

She likes the role of perpetual gadfly. I don’t think she’ll ever “announce.”

Well when Obama issues an Executive Order it is usually because he cannot get his agenda done by legislating it through elected bodies. Perry admitted he messed up so one could move on I guess. However, any conservative would have valued what the people’s representative thought. This says something about his values and principles. It causes some to question his conservative credentials.

Good for Gov. Palin exposing RINO Rick.

In the case of PerryCARE I,
the children of Texas were PROTECTED by conservatives
who STOPPED RINO Rick.

Might not happen the NEXT time, with a RINO as POTUS.

As much as I like Sarah, I'm really growing tired of her 'I haven't declared I'm running, but I'll give my opinion on everything everyone says in the debate' stance.

IMHO, she needs to either declare and participate in the debates, or sit down and shut up about it.

This coming in after the fact to dissect everyone's comments seems to be the politically cheap way out.

People don’t get it. Bachmann and Palin are staunch allies. Bachmann wouldn’t have gotten in if Palin was going to.

Every day that goes by lessens Palin’s chances of be elected president. These attacks on Perry, not unjustified, will give Romney smoothe sailing into the nomination.

PerryBOTs cannot handle the FACTS. By Gore.

"The vaccine, Gardasil, is manufactured by Merck,
which was represented in Austin by the lobbyist Mike Toomey,
who was chief of staff for Mr. Perry from 2002 to 2004. "

2007
On 2/7/07, the WSJ reported that Merck was desperate for cash.
With estimates that the settlements Merck will owe for its Vioxx litigation
will amount to approximately $970 million, and the expiration of some of its patents,
Merck faces a huge cash flow problem.
But if Gardasil is mandated, Merck will generate sales of approximately
$1 billion in the first year alone, with 5 year revenue projections of up to $4 billion"

2007
In 2007, when Texas governor Rick Perry issued
an executive order that all girls entering the 6th grade
would receive Gardasil, parents were furious.
Some argued that the vaccine would promote promiscuity.
The order was eventually overturned."

"Critics rip Perry's vaccine mandate
Governor rejects opponents' calls to reverse order
AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry stood firm Monday against a political firestorm generated by his
order that sixth-grade girls be inoculated against a sexually transmitted virus linked to cervical cancer.
Social conservatives from Texas to Washington called on Perry to reverse his order making
Texas the first state to require the vaccine, saying the mandate makes sex seem permissible
and that parents should be the ones to decide whether to immunize their daughters.
And several Texas lawmakers expressed outrage at Perry for circumventing the legislative process. "

"RP65 - Relating to the immunization of young women
from the cancer-causing Human Papillomavirus.
Friday, February 02, 2007 o Executive Order
BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF TEXAS
Rules. The Health and Human Services Executive Commissioner
shall adopt rules that mandate the age appropriate vaccination
of all female children for HPV prior to admission to the sixth grade."

The definition of mandate is a command by a person,
group, or organization (the 'mandator') to another
(the 'mandatary') to act in a particular way, or here
to ingest, inject, imbed a poison or other substance
they do not want and for which informed consent was
never taken.

BACKGROUND
There are over 40 Types of HPV, and 15 of them
have been linked to cervical cancer and/or genital warts.
Gardasil has been developed to vaccinate
against the 4 Types that have the highest
correlation with cancer and genital warts.
However, unlike the smallpox vaccine, for example,
Gardasil does not grant full immunity to those 4 Types of HPV.
Gardasil offers no protection against the other
11 strains of HPV that have been linked to cervical cancer. "

2009
Merck and the Gardasil Vaccine Show Us the Money
First there was the news that Gardasil sales had dropped by 16% in 2008.
As CNBC’s Mike Huckman bluntly put it,
“From the third quarter of last year to the fourth quarter
Gardasil sales fell off a cliff… Merck officials said part of the Gardasil problem
is that so many 11-18 year-old females have already been
inoculated that they're running out of new customers.
And the 19-26 year-old population continues to be a marketing challenge.”"

2010
The main problem with Gardasil seems to be the equivalent of a design flaw.
To be completely immunized, women have
to get a series of three shots over six months.
Many women don't.
The Centers for Disease Control reported in late
August that while 44% of teenagers received the HPV vaccine in 2009,
only 27% of them received all three doses of the shot.
Unfortunately, there isn't evidence to support
that getting only one shot effectively protects against cancer. "

2011
CDC: "As of June 22, 2011, approximately 35 million doses of Gardasil®
were distributed in the U.S. and VAERS received a total
of 18,727 reports of adverse events

As of June 22, 2011 there have been a total 68 VAERS reports
of death among those who have received Gardasil®."

"Foaming at the mouth, shock, seizures, paralysis,
coma-even death have been reported
as a result of taking the vaccine Gardasil from Merck ... "

"Gardasil Causes 400 Percent More Deaths than Other Common Vaccine
A federal report has concluded that the human papillomavirus (HPV)
vaccine Gardasil has a 400 percent higher rate of adverse effects
than another comparable vaccine, the Menactra anti-meningitis shot. "

re the CMA supporting Perry's HPV vaccine order: is there any medical assoc that didn't support it? Why wouldn't they; they make money from it. The whole thing just feels shady to me.

It reminds be of former NC state Speaker of the House, Jim Black, who back in 2006 got a law passed that ALL children must have a comprehensive eye exam before entering kindergarten. Want to guess what Black's profession was......an optometrist. Black ended up going to prison on some scandal.

Ever heard of honesty, Grace?

Ever thought that a presidential candidate could value truth over ambition? The welfare of the nation over rivalry?

I suppose it is surprising.

I’m not voting for anyone who isn’t serious about stopping illegal immigration. It’s a waste of time to vote for someone who’s on the wrong side of one of the biggest issues facing our nation. If we can’t even nominate a candidate willing to solve this issue then I couldn’t care less who wins the general election. If we have to pander to illegals and continue destroying our nation just to get elected then it’s pointless to vote because it’s over for us anyway.
