Issa: Holder so 'inept he is dangerous'
By Justin Sink - 09/12/11 11:10 AM ET

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said that Attorney General Eric Holder is so "inept that he is dangerous to have as the Attorney General" and that President Obama should consider removing him from office.

Issa made the comments on the Laura Ingraham show while commenting about the controversial "Fast and Furious" gun-tracking program.

"He doesn't want to admit that it was felony-stupid," Issa said of the operation, which was run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which allowed assault-type weapons to be illegally purchased and smuggled across the border.

The Department of Justice was monitoring the weapons, but they have turned up at crime scenes across Mexico. Two weapons that were sold under the program were found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry last December.

Acting ATF Director Kenneth Melson was removed from his position late last month as the result of an investigation pushed by Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. But Issa believes that Attorney General Holder either signed off on the operation or was "willfully ignorant."

"The only way the attorney general didn't know is that he made sure he didn't want to know," Issa said.

The congressman said the scandal was "dumber than Iran-Contra," the program under which senior officials in the Reagan administration secretly sold arms to Iran to fund Nicaraguan rebels. Both arms sales to Iran and funding of the Contras was explicitly prohibited by law, and Reagan national security advisers Oliver North and John Poindexter were convicted of violating the law.

"What we need is an admission that it was wrong … and then we need assurance that it won't happen again," Issa said.

For his part, Holder has admitted that the Fast and Furious program "was clearly a flawed enforcement effort," but denied that he or any of his aides had knowledge of the operation.

"The notion that this reaches into the upper levels of the Justice Department is something that at this point I don't think is supported by the facts and I think once we examine it and once the facts are revealed we'll see that's not the case," Holder said last Wednesday.

The Department of Justice has launched an internal investigation to look into the matter, in addition to the one led by Issa.

Holder also defended the decision to transfer Melson into the DOJ's Office of Legal Policy, rather than fire him outright.

"Ken has served this department well over the course of some three decades," Holder said.

As is everyone in this administration. That was the idea.
Question is what will we do about it?

“”What we need is an admission that it was wrong … and then we need assurance that it won’t happen again,” Issa said. “

No! What we need is for people to be prosecuted and sent to prison, once found guilty of course.

What’s this crap that so long as you admit you did something unlawful, even felonious, that it is okeedokee as long as you promise you won’t do it again! If one of us commoners did this we’d be thrown in a deep dark hold, never to be heard from again.

Agreed. I shudder to think what would happen if Zero and his cronies were competent (and in Zero’s case) hard working Stalinists.

Exactly! When are the fools on our side finally going to get what is happening? He, Obama and the rest of this hate America administration aren't "inept" or "incompetent", at least not in this sense. They do these things DELIBERATELY, as their mission is to destroy the country as we know it.

...and I think once we examine it (with our own non-biased inspector, of course >>guffaw<<) and once the facts are revealed we'll see that's not the case," Holder said last Wednesday.
Translation - Once our totally implausible story gets straightened out and the scapegoats are prepared then the sacrificing will commence.

It sure is nice of the Press to react so slowly to this issue. They keep the story alive so smart alecs like myself have all this time to eviscerate Holder.
Drag it out some more. Picking apart statements is fun.

Issa is making the mistake of giving the viscerally corrupt the benefit of the doubt.

Holder, like 0bama, is steeped in deep racist revenge ideology, and is using his office to implement it.

Telling the truth about the left is going to take some time,
because the general populace is too ignorant of the wickedness of the left to believe the truth about them.

But I agree, time to stop answering the fools acoording to their folly, but to address their folly (point out their REAL motivations and make them answer).

(”He doesn’t want to admit that it was felony-stupid,” Issa said of the operation,)

Holder isn’t inept. He’s pursuing an agenda different from the agenda officially established for his office. He’s a racist, fascist ideologue. He wants to establish gun control and proving guns are being bought and exported to Mexico would help do that. The idea they’d track these guns to higher cartel people is absurd as guns are consumables and consumables are bought by buyers, not cartel bosses. Also, there was never a mechanism set up to track the guns. (Hence, they “lost” them all.) The objective was to “find” them at crime scenes so American gun stores/laws could be blamed. No, Holder isn’t inept; just a criminal.

Issa is all talk, no action. We’ve heard him say stuff like this before, but nothing changes.

He's pursuing the revolutionary communist agenda, like the rest of the obamanation administration. He helped pardon members of the FALN and Weather Underground during the Clinton administration. Both were revolutionary communist, domestic terrorist organizations.

Issa and his ilk are the Old Guard Republicans. They talk nice and couch their rhetoric in sugar so they do not get their corrupt Democrat buddies mad.

I do not trust any of these so called conservatives who have been in office prior to the 2010 election.

The Democrats are more than willing to use huge lies and fabrications to maintain control of this country and yet the Pubbies will not even stand up and tell the truth.

Yep. The AG did not just do this on his own. He had to have approval from the White House and at least the State Department before this op went active.

So now we have our third gun that is responsible for an American law enforcement shooting that is proven without a doubt to have come from Fast and Furious. BATFE did not do this by themselves, and DOJ did not give them permission to proceed without clearing it up the Chain of Command first.

I hear people trying to call this Premier Hussein’s Watergate. That is nonsense, because nobody was murdered during Watergate. This one stands on its own in the world of scandals because the original operation was so heinous in the first place, it makes the coverup afterwards even worse.

Too bad we have to wait until the next Administration comes into office before we finally get to the bottom of this and hopefully indict Eric Holder and everyone else attached to this.

Let’s see Holder frog-marched in handcuffs out of DOJ...

To you and all of your ilk Issa is no fool, he is not looking the other way or anything you or the others imply. A co-worker and friend served with Issa in the military and he is a deliberate man who is gathering facts to cement his case. You who scream here for your own reasons must realize you want to develop the whole picture airtight and take down the whole bunch, not settle for the underlings who have been set up to take the fall.

Issa is no stooge and is very smart, he is not in this for the money or pension, he does not need it. He is a patriot and I for one will not rush to judgement, let him do his work, he is climbing a very steep hill with the forces of most of the government against him fighting to stay alive.
