Of course it’s a contrived campaign issue. If Axelrod thought it had a chance of passing he’d have upped the ante to a trillion. From the Dems’ point of view it’s a win-win - any Republican who votes for it provides them cover when it doesn’t work, and anyone opposing is immediately accused of being an enemy of the working class. Were it not for such widespread complicity in the media they’d never get away with this transparent crap.

Gee, that’s too bad. Lots of Tea Partiers I know are lining up to compromise with David Axelrod. < /s>

Beck did a sound bite for sound bite comparison between BOs "jobs" speech and his "stimulus" speech of two year ago- nearly the same speech.

The lazy bastard didn't even bother to write a new set of lies.

hilarious.

This is another SPENDING plan, not a jobs plan. It’s structured the way all Marxists “jobs plans” are.

One goonion worker will dig a hole, the second goonion worker will fill it back up, there will be three goonion supervisors for the two goonion workers, and there will be one feral goobermint inspector to make sure the hole is excavated and filled according to EPA regulations.

Voila! Six jobs “created” by the bamster.

Wait, I forgot the department of labor and OSHA and minerals management service and USDA and, well, you get the idea...

PORKULUS JUNIOR would already be dead on arrival in a sane world.

It would be FAR CHEAPER to send out $50K checks to four times the number of potential Ttemp Obama plan employees, than it would to follow through on this nightmare.

The absolute gall and nerve of our congressmen. Imagine the arrogance of these men thinking that they can improve on the presidents job plan.

If we left it to our congress, they would operate the House and Senate as if it was a coequal branch of government that was a check on the Executive branch.

I find myself disliking this small joke of a “president” more and more with each passing day. There has to be a bottom to it somewhere, but just when I think he’s found it, he persists in digging himself to new lows!

GOOD! No one should do anything until this commie is out of our WH! Don’t agree on anything - we don’t want one more drop of his commie agenda.

We're not in a negotiation to break up the package. It's not an a la carte menu.

It's more like a turd burger. Get it scored then bring it up for a vote, the Democrats might not even vote for it. We'll get the goods part passed.

Compromising with bad fiscal policy is like putting just a little sewage in your drinking water. It pollutes it.
