Do you have any idea how close to puhsing bigotry such statements are? In fact, this sounds a lot like what Henry Ford had to say back when his success was going up and he just had to run his mouth, or pen, with the Dearborn Independent, and from his newspaper, even paraphrasing, almost the same general points were brought up. The main difference is, Ford wrote an apology letter to the ADL for what he had written, only Hitler and Himmler recycled his antisemitic essays years later, and Hitler wrote honors to him in Mein Kempf as well.

I would figure that to the Orthodox Jews, this would be nothing new. However, I wouldn’t be past assuming that similar to Christianity, there are plenty of secular Jews, as there are secular Christians in today’s society.

This isn't a big wake up call. Orthodox Jews are much more conservative and often vote Republican. This was just a wake up for swing conservative voters you might say.
