EPA spending millions for ‘environmental justice’
The Daily Caller – 38 mins ago

Earlier this month the Environmental Protection Agency awarded a $25,000 grant to the Louisiana Bucket Brigade for air-quality sampling, as part of an initiative which is funneling millions annually into local organizations for environmental justice.

According to the EPA, environmental justice is “the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.”

EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson has made environmental justice a priority at the agency, issuing millions of dollars to local and tribal organizations and making plans to reach their aforementioned end.

Due to its ambiguous definition, the amount of money distributed for environmental justice is difficult to track.

...He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance...

Sounds familiar.

“Environmental justice” has been a lie and a fraud for twenty years.

No one has ever come up with anything under this rubric that hasn’t been a transparent shakedown.

What the commies call “environmental injustice” rational, honest people call “zoning”.

This reeks of corruption, it is staggering what this so called administration has gotten away with. I thought Clinton was bad but he is a piker next to this clown.

I’m actually more shocked that yahoo is even reporting it given all the msm has over looked the last three years.

Feigning ignorance over a botched burglary of a political opponent's office wasn't Nixon's folly. The creation of these extralegal behemoth agencies which threaten the very existence of the economic engine of the US was. By all rights, he should be a hero of the left.

I don't think that is what it is about. My understanding is this is to apply some funds to improve environmental conditions in urban areas, the thinking being that there is a disproportionate amount of funding going to undisturbed rural areas for conservation. I may not have that exactly right so hope someone will chime in on this.

This is simply a way of adding the EPA to the list of income redistribution agencies (i.e welfare programs), camouflaged as environmental work. It’s a Van Jones type of program. Or an environmental ACORN.

It’s actually dual purpose - not only does it redistribute income, it also results in more harassment of the evil corporations.

Environmental justice, huh?

Well other places have warm winters, so send us one every year, and while you're at it, other states have Mountains, so send us a couple of ranges--- and beaches! Yes! Send beaches, not the gray pebbly kind etiher, but the ones with bright blue water and white sand, and orange groves, and palm trees....

The nonworking are lucky if they get any of this money. Most of it's probably going right into the pockets of DemocRat apparatchiks.
