I don’t get that at all. Not one bit. Sad.

I have no problem with those who received the award. I have a problem with all the living recipients being on his watch. Based on what you say, the Pentagon had no problem resisting any questioning by the previous three administrations. However, now Obama in the company of recipients has officiated over three of the most precious ceremonies our military conducts. I still wonder why the Pentagon should change its position now.

My interest then turns to all the people who served before. If Teddy Roosevelt can have his service reviewed, then the people who received the DFC, NC, and DSC during the last twenty years should have theirs reviewed as well.

Not likely.

It was the Marine that asked to have a beer with little Barry. Disgraceful.

Are you saying that it's disgraceful for the Marine to have asked to have a beer with Obama? If that's what youre saying, you've got some nerve calling anything this Marine does "disgraceful"

You’ve just insulted every Marine. Pathetic. You’re the one who’s disgraceful.

I agree with you, Enchiladita. Obama's second Rose Garden beer photo-op, this time with a national hero, rubbed me the wrong way, also.

Obama is such opportunistic trash....not fit to sit at the same table with this fine young MOH recipient. He fills me with revulsion.

A Marine is no less a Marine just because 0bama happens to be Commander in Chief. To insult every Marine who has served since Jan. 2009 is an embarrassment. There’s no place for that kind of BS on this site.

You probably wouldn’t like Marines anyway.

"A Marine is no less a Marine just because 0bama happens to be Commander in Chief."

The oath is to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. See Article II of that document.

So what should the Marines do? Refuse to serve?

They should honor their sworn oath and do their duty.

Colonel Lakin did.

Refusing to serve (based on a fringe interpretation of Article 2) is not honoring their sworn oath and doing their duty.

And many others disagree with your interpretation. To dishonor the entire Marine Corps because they do is disgraceful. To do so by hijacking a thread honoring Sgt. Meyer’s service is shameful.
