“...63% of the country say they would NEVER vote for her”

I have to say that this is one of my strongest concerns about Sarah Palin. I think that what she is presently doing (raising awareness of specific political issues) is not only something she enjoys, but is also an excellent service for conservative principles.

Oh?

But you claimed that you were the "only" 'right-wing nutjob' in the history department at the university of Texas. Did you mistype?

Hey.........do you even really "teach" anywhere?

A history prof? REALLY? What exactly DO you *cough* teach?

"THE WON" was just a sometime "lecturer"; that's all and he never taught "CONSTITUTIONAL LAW" at all.

He "taught"one class, when he bothered to show up, that is, on "racial" justice. Just more mumbo-jumbo, that was more or less what he did as a "community organizer".

I couldn’t agree more.
When she talks...people listen.

I don’t think she needs to give that power up.

In a presidential race? It could be tricky.

OMG..............if that poster is writing a book, I’d be shocked if it was not some text book, that she then requires her classes to buy. LOL

Oh good grief..............it's a figure of speech and I wrote that as merely a wake-up call, of sorts to the other person.

Sadly, she didn't take the hint.

“But you claimed that you were the “only” ‘right-wing nutjob’ in the history department at the university of Texas. Did you mistype?”

Actually, I think you may have misread. I think she stated that she was at A university in Texas....not THE University of Texas.

Actually, the word "obtuse" is most certainly and correctly used to describe a person who is ... well, obtuse -- blithely and persistently indifferent to, or unable to grasp, concepts or information. For example, if you try to explain long division to a student who just doesn't get it no matter how many times and how well it is explained to him, you can quite correctly describe that student as "obtuse."

One of its dictionary definitions is "slow to understand."

I've used the term myself on FR when dealing with obtuse people. However, Windflier is most emphatically anything BUT obtuse. Windflier is as sharp as a tack, IMO. He's been one of my favorite FReepers for quite awhile.

Did you read the reply ( mine ) which she then labeled "obtuse"?

If not, perhaps you should. :-)

“Did you read the reply ( mine ) which she then labeled “obtuse”? “

If I recall correctly, it wasn’t the reply that was referred to as “obtuse.”

;-)

We have more than one state university in Texas. In fact, we have more than one University of Texas (duh). UT Dallas, UT Galveston, UT Austin. Several campuses for A&M, Texas Tech...all Tier 1 research universities. I teach at a Tier 1. Bu-bye.

You aren’t missing anything. They want me to be dumb so are intentionally misrepresenting it. Thanks for your efforts to clarify.

You are not dumb, you just ran into a bunch of impassioned bullies.

However, you should revisit your thinking about Sarah resigning as Governor. She was forced into it and it was probably the right thing to do under the circumstances. The left hated her so much that they used our ridiculously liberal (in terms of allowing lawsuits) legal system to make her a hostage of her office. It was ridiculous and I don’t blame her resigning.

I don’t disagree with your general assessment that Palin has some very high negatives in the general election. They are real despite a large percentage of it being the unfair results of character assassination and a media hell-bent on the progressive agenda and electing dope and chains.

Despite the short tenure of her time as Governor, I was very impressed with what she did and how popular she became. People of all stripes are ticked off with corruption and she did something about it. The lady has style and never met a beehive she was afraid to kick.

My biggest problem with Palin was her support of McCain last year. I thought he treated her very poorly in 08 and he certainly does not represent my hobbit principles. I admire loyalty, but I found her genuine affection for McCain to be troubling.

If she does not run I am supporting Perry. If she does run, I will support Palin.
