At this juncture in history, it is of the utmost importance to not only defeat Obama, but to recover the notion of limited government based on the principles of our Founding Fathers. In addition, good Americans need to reclaim their culture from the rampant immorality of secularists.

Amen!

A few minutes after her announcement, Perry will become an also-ran.

...on a Friday?

Usually not a day for big announcements.

Fridays are for documents dumps and short news stories on topics ignored ealier in the week.

There's quite a bit MORE information about this already posted on the OTHER thread:
WHERE and HOW will Sarah Palin declare that she is running?
[Now that we finally know WHEN...]

"It’s called a Friday news dump because most reporters have gone home for the weekend?"

Actually, I'd say that HER announcing on Friday would be a(nother) stroke of genius. If the reporters are gone for the weekend, it increases the chance that the story will actually be reported as news, rather than with the addition of the typical non-news "commentary" that liberal reporters like to tack on.

Either that or her announcement she isn’t running will peter out over the weekend.

Sorry to hear about your health problems.
I am for Sarah #1 but as of now I am glad Perry is in the race too. If SP cant beat Perry, then she doesnt deserve the shot at Obozo. And vice versa for Rick. There is some concern that Rick and Sarah split and let Romney squeak by, but I hope there is enough common ground between them, neither would let that happen.

Thank you. I am blessed with a full remission post chemo and feeling great again.

I agree with you. Neither Rick nor Sarah would hang in and split the vote long enough to let Romney win. It's just going to be a long five months until we have our candidate, isn't it? : )

“I was quite sure that he wasn’t going to run, because he was adamant until about four months ago that he wasn’t going to run,” she said. But she was quick to add that Perry’s change of heart was fine. “I was surprised that he had changed his position on that, but I’m glad that he’s going to be in there.”
A reporter asked whether, if Obama had committed that sort of flip-flop, she would be more critical, she laughed. “I probably would, to tell you the truth,” she said…
Even with Perry in the race, she said, “I see room in the field. Definitely.”
“If at the end of the line he’s the one left standing, I would be extremely enthused about him because I’m a believer in ABO – anybody but Obama. So, absolutely. But there’s still a long time in this process,” Palin said, adding that Perry’s entry doesn’t affect her decision making.

A few minutes after her announcement, Perry will become an also-ran.

Haha maybe not quite that dramatic. :)

Romney on the other hand, might vanish from anybody's radar. Other than the MSM, but who really even listens to them anymore?

Never thought I'd say this, but so far Newt is the only candidate to impress me. I would welcome Palin to jump in and mix it up a bit. God knows the GOP field need a little excitement. Go Mama Grizzly!

Newt followed Sarah on Greta's show after Monday's debate. He liked her Iowa speech on crony capitalism and said he was going to link her speech to his presidential web site. Either Newt is looking for her endorsement or looking to endorse her if she enters and he fails, which is likely.
