Mayor Bloomberg warned Friday there would be riots in the streets if Washington doesn't get serious about generating jobs.

"We have a lot of kids graduating college, can't find jobs," Bloomberg said on his weekly WOR radio show.

"That's what happened in Cairo. That's what happened in Madrid. You don't want those kinds of riots here."

And, according to Bloomy, I’m sure these “rioters” will be members of the TEA Party

I never once mentioned his affiliation prior to running for Mayor, and I never referenced his past.

Read your own research:

Bloomberg switched his registration in 2001 and ran for mayor as a Republican, winning the election that year and a second term in 2005. Bloomberg left the Republican Party over policy and philosophical disagreements with national party leadership in 2007 and ran for his third term in 2009 as an independent candidate on the Republican ballot line.

I was simply correcting the poster that said that he was a Dem. While he was a Dem in the past, he's an Indy now, not to say that the colors ever changed.

Riding Guliani’s coat tails and spending untold gobs of cash helped.

Interesting that Bloomberg makes these remarks just before the called-for Sept 17 “Day of Rage” against Wall Street.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/seius-stephen-lerner-invokes-bill-ayers-days-of-rage-to-take-down-wall-street-this-september/

He is asking, knowingly, for trouble.

My prediction: This will not end up as a non-violent protest. The left-funded anarchists will certainly be there, and it won’t be to put daisies in the barrels of the guns of the National Guard.

I still don’t understand why “ragers” would want to inflict pain on the liberal enclave of NYC.

Shouldn’t they go to someplace like rural Texas and take on the real enemy?

Does this have anything to do with the planned attack on Wall Street by the leftist Moonbats?

Bloomberg should realize that these freaks are after him, personally. That they plan to track him down, overpower his guards, and do that to him which he fears most. It’s either him or them. Man-o a freak-o.

Yet he could have the NYPD sweep them off the streets and put them on prison barges in the East River. But he would never be that paranoid, that fearful, that self-interested that he would want to impose on others.

Just what I was thinking. A public official saying things like this is giving his imprimatur to lowlifes to go ahead and riot. It’s not the same as a pundit giving an opinion on the state of things.

I can think of no better way to bring jobs to the 'hood than by rioting and burning it down. < /sarcasm >

Paul Krugman might say the same thing, only he would be dead serious.

Maybe he doesn't fear it as much as you think. He may even be looking forward to it. ;-)

"We have a lot of kids graduating college....."That's what happened in Cairo. That's what happened in Madrid. You don't want those kinds of riots here."

Are we to interpret his last statement as a warning....or as a threat?

Liberals want riots, Obama wants there to be riots so that he can declare martial law. Bloomers is hoping that his comments will spark riots so that he can clamp down on dissent and criticism.

Hey Bloomy!
Tell Obamy to tear up about 10,000 pages of constricting regulation, repeal Obamacare, shut down the EPA and the NRLB.
Sell CPB (PBS).
Close the Dept. of Ed, (as the Fed Gov’t has only made public schools worse!
Repeal Frank/Dodd.
Cut Corp. Tax rates.

THEN the economy will grow and FEDERAL SPENDING WILL BE DOWN!!!

When elected leaders start saying this stuff, it’s so irresponsible. It’s almost like they *want* there to be riots.

“Bloomers is hoping that his comments will spark riots”

I think he knows riots are coming, he’s positioning blame.

I suspect there are people working the communities to “organize” them.
