We the People - Your Voice in our Government (coming soon from obozo regime)
whitehouse.gov ^ | Sept. 2011 | Obama

Posted on 09/16/2011 4:06:14 PM PDT by dynachrome

Throughout our history Americans have used petitions to unite around issues they care about. We the People provides you with a new way to petition the federal government to take action on a range of issues. And if your petition attracts enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it is sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.

Learn More | Be the First to Know When We the People Launches

Step #1 Create or Sign a Petition Anyone 13 or older can create or sign a petition on WhiteHouse.gov asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country. To get started you’ll need to create an account and verify your email address. Start thinking about the issues that matter to you, what you would like the Obama Administration to do to address the important challenges facing our country, and who you’ll ask to join you.

Step #2
Build Support and Gather Signatures
Creating or signing a petition is just the first step. It’s up to you to build support for a petition and gather even more signatures. Use email, Facebook, Twitter and word of mouth to tell your friends, family and coworkers about the petitions you care about

Step #3
The White House Reviews and Responds
If a petition meets the signature threshold, it will be reviewed by the Administration and an official response will be issued. And we’ll make sure that the petition is sent to the appropriate policy makers in the Administration.

The initial threshold to get a response from the Administration is 5,000 signatures.

Why 13 and older? Why not 5 as long as you’re enrolled in Head Start. I’d like to see a 13 year old start a petition telling the First Mama to keep her meat hooks off of their freedom fries.

Step#4
The White House Investigates Your Enemies
If you receive confirmation that the White House has accepted your petition for review, you should be sure to forward any negative comments you receive to www.attackwatch.com.

The way I see it, the petitions will be run thru the unions with cute kids fronting them. The results of the “voice of the people” will then be rammed thru Congress.

Damn! Now I’m not going to be able to wear my “We the People” Tee from Tax day march. I guess I can use it to clean the bathroom.

Sounds similar to posting bills for 5 days.
Apparently they solved the “technical hurdles”.

Or this is just another empty scheme to lure more children into to the Obama Mr. Creepy Van with promises of “free candy” or “help us save our pet”.

Aided, abetted and enthusiastically supported by the Manson-Family-like Obamabots.

You can't collect information online from Children under 13 years old. It's a federal crime. Refer to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501-6508 for details. Or check out the COPPA FAQ's from the Federal Trade Commission.

So I guess the only reason they didn’t go after the 5 year olds is because it is against the law. That’s nice to know.

By the Way, I signed up for this on September 2 with a unique email address. This email address has not been used anyplace other than signing up at the http://www.whitehouse.gov/wethepeople/updates Signup page. It's on my own domain name, and I have not given out this address anywhere else.

So far, I have received exactly 3 emails to that address, and none of the emails have been related to the We the People feature on the whitehouse website. Here's a summary.

So far, nothing about how to put a petition up.

I figure my first petition will be for a full, unconditional repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. I have about 120 people lined up (so far) to sign it. When I get 150 confirmed signatures, we'll see if it gets published.

LOL. Like Hussein has all the power, and the legislature and judiciary are just his appendages to do his bidding. OH yeah, and by the way, you'll have to register with the government to get ANYTHING done.

YOU CANNOT DO IT ON YOUR OWN.
