Heh, good point.

I just can’t understand why she thinks X number of people are going to base their selection on Guardisil...

Quite frankly, that is the last on my list of considerations for 2012.

I believe most who post on FR have been supportive of Michele Bachmann.

We are now disappointed that she has gone down this Gardisil rabbit trail.

But this is the risk of saying that a US Representative is ready to become President after only 4 years in office.

“Well, she had won the argument at the debate, until she kept going and made the accusations of corruption and then the “retarded” comment.

She should have quit while she was ahead (not the campaign, but this Destroy Perry crusade she’s on).”

What you say is true, but she was bjust hammering the attacks home, and Perry’s defense was pathetic. Sticks his finger up and tucks his chin and acts real stern and says:

“Yes, the way I went about it was wrong” and “If you think I can be bought for a measly $5,000.00, well....I am offended” LOL

So since then, she has been all over the media, continuing the attacks and Perry just sits there?! Is he ever going to respond, maybe even counterattack? What kind of fighter is he, anyway?

disappointment is one thing but the intense bashing is what I don’t believe should be done. I mean this is a truly good women who is being treated like she is EVIL. How wrong is that? Sure some are dismayed that she said a few things about Perry but that does not allow for the demeaning treatment she is receiving. This is the primaries and politics is dirty. She is not a Kennedy or Clinton or Obama but we are treating her worse then we do those three families and we are supposed to be better than that. That is my only problem.

You’re the one with purple kool-aid stains on your shirt, not me. Who would you choose? Romney? Rotsaruck on that one.

She compared it to the federal controversy unfolding around Solyndra...

I don't see anywhere in this article that backs up this statement. LA Slimes and you Perry supporter making news up now? How low can go go calling her retarded?

Oh good, you are talking about the Texas Enterprise fund. I am glad you brought it up! This Perry program shows that smart government investments in private industry CAN create jobs and improve the economy!

A recent report on the TEF shows that 54,954 direct jobs were created at a cost of $7,455.52 per job, or a total of 190,360 direct and indirect jobs were created, at a cost to the state of $2,308.98 per job since it was established. Considering that the federal government crows about creating a few hundred jobs that cost the taxpayers over $100k per job, it looks like Texas has the right idea. If Perry had $800 billion to spend on job creation like Obama did, by this calculation, he could have created 107,303,045 direct jobs.

The program also has had an amazing return on investment. The state is getting back from a LOW of 27x the investment up to over 100x the investment in increased Gross State Product. And the direct return to the state (increased revenue to the state through taxes) averaged 652%. That means the state received $6.52 in new tax revenue for every dollar invested. This has got to be one of the most effective economic stimulus programs in history!

Thanks to cripplecreek for providing this information. I never realized how effective the TEF program was at job creation. I'll be sure to post this information every time someone brings the subject up.

By the way, did you realize that any company that receives money under this program that does not create the jobs promised has to return a portion of the money proportional to the number of jobs not created?

Wouldn’t a RINO be a guy who gives illegal aliens tax payer bennies? I guess he is forgiven for that too. What I was hoping Michele was going to ask Perry was how are these folks going to get a job after they receive their degree? You can’t get a job if you are not an American citizen. I really wish she would have asked that question. He would have said well they would have been citizens by then which is not true.....it takes longer than a college degree to become a citizen.

Some of the ultra purists here have overused the term RINO to the point that it has absolutely no meaning anymore.

BS. Everyone wants a CREDIBLE Conservative. She has lost all credibility.

She hasn’t said she made a mistake yet and corrected this outragous lie.

Standing by a lie is not couragous, it’s just plain stupid.

I can explain why you can’t understand why she thinks X number of people are going to base their selection on the “Guardisil” issue and that her attacks ARE leaving a mark on Rick Perry. Perry’s Guardisil executive order was to vaccinate females only. Control over the personal health and medical treatment of females (see abortion issue) is a HIGHLY charged issue. And your voting demographic, assuming you are a guy-Chris, not a girl-Chris, is outnumbered. And Bachmann knows this.

Do you somehow suppose that by arguing like a 14-year old, you’ll manage to change everyone’s opinion to vote for whoever your non-RINO is?

Here’s the thing, chum. Bachman told a big fat lie in an effort to gain a little in the polls. It might even be a pretty harmful lie. If her candidacy survives long enough for the primary vote in our state, I will probably not choose her. (As for Solyndra comparisons, I’ve just checked out some of her major donors—pot, kettle, black, etc.)

And when it comes to RINOs, it’s true enough that everyone claims that everyone else is a RINO. No one is quite pure enough to escape that title. So now it’s up to us to choose which of these various and sundry RINOs will be best for our country.

Interesting how much spinning results from posting some simple straightforward information.

Frankly, anyone who doesn’t encourage others to do their own research, probably isn’t trustworthy anyway.

It probably won’t make much sense saying it, but Texas is a separate state. What makes sense for them might not make sense for your state. Texas shares a 1200 mile border with Mexico. Any decision Texas makes regarding education for Mexicans in it’s state is going to be based on different issues than a decision Virginia might make.

These people have no country, since we’re talking about children of illegals. I think they would then be looked at as highly trained/educated petitioners for work permits/citizenship. We need immigrants who are highly trained.
