As of May 11, 2007, the 1,637 adverse vaccination reactions reported to the FDA via the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) included 371 serious reactions. Of the 42 women who received the vaccine while pregnant, 18 experienced side effects ranging from spontaneous abortion to fetal abnormalities. Side effects published by Merck & Co. warn the public about potential pain, fever, nausea, dizziness and itching after receiving the vaccine. Indeed, 77% of the adverse reactions reported are typical side effects to vaccinations. But other more serious side effects reported include paralysis, Bells Palsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and seizures.
Judicial Watch informed LifeSiteNews.com that a subsequent request for information on adverse reactions to the HPV vaccine, covering the period from May 2007 to September 2007, found that an additional 1800 adverse reactions have been reported, including more deaths. Exactly how many more deaths will be released in the coming days, Judicial Watch’s Dee Grothe informed LifeSiteNews.com.
I sympathize greatly. I am not a vaccination pimp. But that should give you more reason to ask Bachmann to walk the "retardation" comment back. It trivializes those with legitimate concerns.

I’m sorry about your little sister. If you don’t mind me asking, what was the mandate?
The mandate was a county/city taking it upon themselves to administer a smallpox vaccine to myself and another sister that adversely affected our baby sister at home. No parental notification or approval, they just vaccinated us when we were at school. Compounding the problem there was no aftercare instructions to the family. Just a note that we had a vaccine and might get a slight fever. My infant sister came down with smallpox and to this day is scarred by this. Her tear ducts in her eyes are scarred and she has continual tearing... Her face arms and legs were scarred from the pustules and that does not even account for what she had to live with through her childhood. No one to this day has ever offered reconstructive surgery or anything to her. It is what it is..shit happens.. or so they say.
Never mind how I and my sister who were inoculated have had to deal with the fact we brought this pestilence home to our baby sister... she was infected by us. Thanks to government mandates... screw them.

The news is just coming out on this vaccine. The lawyers will be along eventually. The Avandia commercials came about 2 years after my father suffered bad side effects from the drug. No, he didn’t sue. Many people who have suffered personal injuries at the hands of Big Pharma don’t want to put themselves through the stress of litigation.
Now let’s remember, doctors report adverse reactions. That means that what you see reported is a fraction of the adverse events that occur. Plus you are relying on statistics from a government that can’t tell you what it did with a trillion dollars.
Good for you. I agree. I find this thread astonishing. I can’t believe how many on Free Republic are willing to hand over their families’ health to a legislature and to those who make money from peddling newly-developed drugs and injections to all comers.

What do the vaccinated have to fear from the un-vaccinated? Nothing. It is the unvaccinated that bear the risk, yet they are being portrayed as being the threat. Unfortunately, critical-thinking skills seem to be severely lacking these days.

I It's like government-mandated health care. Everyone has to be in, or it supposedly doesn't work.
Bottom line for me is that if a vaccine is safe and effective, people won't need to be compelled to use it. Some might opt not to use it, but what risk do they pose to those who do? ... particularly since those who do are supposedly given immunity by the vaccine.

In a sane and rational world, yes. but we live in a world of Jenny McCarthy’s and Suzanne Somers’ posing as medical experts.
The reason you do this is because until you actually do a medical study of each reaction, you can't really know whether the reaction was caused by the vaccine. But you can't afford to study them all. So they are all reported, and then samples are chosen to study, and that is how they can gauge actual issues with the medicine.
But the raw data is kept, because you can't really be sure that you haven't missed something. That's why I haven't really spoke to all the other reactions, although the studies have largely found them unrelated. I just speak about the deaths, because those were taken seriously, and every case where they had medical access to the dead person, they did a complete workup. That was 29 total, and none of them turned out to be caused by the vaccine.
I only know this stuff beause I've read up on the internet. A medical doctor would have much better information. I do consider myself smart enough to read medical terminology and understand it, but some here have questioned my faith in my own intelligence before.

Those who assume government is always wrong will ignore this. I believe that in non-political decision-making, an independent organization like the CDC is trustworthy:

The problem with attacking Gardasil on it's merits is that you are arguing with the medical community and the CDC, saying they are wrong and anecdotal evidence is right. I don't see a political or philosophical motivation for the CDC to misrepresent the drug (meaning I don't see what the CDC would gain from encouraging more people to take a drug if it was in fact hurting and killing people). That would take a conspiracy, and I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories.
