Obama Unveils Deficit Plan Containing $1.5T in Tax Hikes, GOP Cringes
Fox News ^ | 19 September 2011 | Fox News

President Obama, drawing immediate condemnation from congressional Republicans, unveiled a new deficit reduction plan Monday anchored by $1.5 trillion in new taxes.

The president, announcing a plan in the Rose Garden that includes more than $2 trillion total in entitlement cuts and tax increases over the next decade, rejected demands made last week by House Speaker John Boehner. The speaker had said tax hikes should be off the table as a newly formed bipartisan committee meets to extract long-term deficit savings.

Technically how long does the DNC have to challenge Obama in a primary? If it was going to happen I would think it would have by now but Obama is in a meltdown.

I have been saying this ever since Bayh decided not to run again. Seemed absurd, unless the Dem leadership were keeping him ready for when Obama tanked.

You racist, you.

No More Food stamps for Lobster, Prime Rib, Imports, Twinkies, Wine, or luxury items?

You should have seen the chunky woman I encountered in the grocery check out line the other day. She had 4, 10 pound roasts, and a 10 lb. bag of fresh shrimp, amoung other things. She paid with her EBT card, but it fell $15 short of the total. So she painstakingly got her debit card out of her fat wallet to pay for the rest.

I think she drove away in a Hummer.

Didn’t hear the oration (thank God) but does this include the 467 billion for the jobs thing or is this in addition to that? That would be a $2T tax increase. That’s impossible!!

Time to reference the prophet Saul (Alinsky) to see what Rule(s) student Bam is pushing...

1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."

2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat.... [and] the collapse of communication.

3. "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (

4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."

5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."

6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."

7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time...."

8. "Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose."

9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."

10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign."

11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative." 12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

Yep, it’s not class warfare, it’s math! And raise everybody’s taxes if math reduces the deficit!

Wine and alcohol can’tlegally be purchased with food stamps, nor can hot foods. Just saying..........

There, fixed for accuracy. Food stamps are traded for cash all the time, and cash as you know can be used to purchase alcohol, hot food, crack, etc.

Let's see what Zero has to say about taking away some food stamps from his welfare crowd.

Or making them pay some minimum tax to regain their self respect.
