Over his presidency so far, Obama's support among Jews has run about 14 percentage points higher than his support among the population at large, with some fluctuations largely due to the relatively small number of Jews in any given polling sample, Gallup reports. The gap in the most recent tally is 13 points.
A similar point can be made about Latinos another group whose declining support for Obama is sometimes attributed to group-specific issues, in this case the failure to bring about comprehensive changes in the nation's immigration policies.
Again, as with Jews, the polling data show something different declining support that closely parallels the decline among non-Latino white voters.
With Obama's support having dropped at roughly the same rate among multiple subgroups African Americans being the one great exception the logical conclusion is that his problem is not any individual issue, such as Israel or immigration, but rather the overall problem facing the nation....

President Barack Obama may well be remembered for the beginning of the end of the Democratic Party's iron grip on the Black vote.
It’s a gorgeous mosaic of declining support.
Propped up and supported by educators, the msm and fears that you’re certain to be called a racist if you tell a pollster that you don’t like Obama.
although that rapidly plunging white line is setting us up for cries of “RAAAAAACIST!” all next year
I wouldn't bet on this. They will come out in the same numbers for obama. The rallying cry will be "we can't let them take down one of ours".
President Barack Obama may well be remembered for the beginning of the end of the Democratic Party's iron grip on the Black vote.
I doubt it. Because slavery was ended by a strong federal govt and then civil rights were pushed through by a strong federal govt anything that leads to states rights will be fought by them. Also, the Rat party has very effectively moved them back onto the plantation. The majority of the Black middle class works for govt and a large segment of the Black community is dependent on govt for aid, since the family unit has been destroyed.
Where the Pubs have an opportunity to gain is among Hispanics.
Nothing will assuage white guilt quicker than a tanking economy.
My co-religionists should be compared to White Americans, not the whole population...they’re comparatively “stuck on stupid”.
Well, I want the GOP to go after all votes and let everyone know that they need freedom from identity politics to succeed, that they have the right to be prosperous and that it is their duty to fight for economic independence from the social injustice of dependency.
He didn't pay their bills. He didn't secure reparations. Unemployment and inflation are killing blacks.
Rather than rallying, the "half-white" complaints are already starting (see Michael Moore threads today.)
Over the next few months, the not-a-real-brother groundswell will grow, and the media/journalism/racial activist/Democratic Party juggernaut will begin agitating for a "do-over" on the whole first black president experiment - so they can use it again down the road.
Everyone must be numbered and identified by the Left.
Hey Folks!
He's WHITE! You can tell.
That's just make-up.
I don't disagree with a thing you are saying. My hope is the Pubs are not dumb enough to put together a strategy where they lose part of their base chasing a group they won't get.
It's been that way for 40 yrs!
Rather than rallying, the "half-white" complaints are already starting (see Michael Moore threads today.)
It will stop the second the Pubs nominate a candidate.
“President Barack Obama may well be remembered for the beginning of the end of the Democratic Party’s iron grip on the Black vote.”
Let’s not go overboard. The Dem party is the black vote. A decline to 84% support still leaves it overwhelmingly Dem. They will always be the core of the Dem party which will always pander to this core.
slow learners.
Well, that reminds me of people who say we shouldn't drill for oil because it won't make a difference for 10 years.
Then LET'S get started!!!
He’s still a grave threat for reelection. We must take nothing for granting.
