Tea Party group forms its own 'super committee'

Washington (CNN) - As the congressional "super committee" works in Washington to cut America's federal debt, a panel of tea party activists will meet at a Denny's restaurant in Orlando to propose their own debt solutions.

The gathering, convened by the large conservative political group FreedomWorks, will meet Sept. 23, coinciding with the Florida Conservative Political Action Conference, an annual meeting of right-leaning politicians.

"FreedomWorks believes that President Obama's 'super-committee' will inevitably fall prey to special interest groups, shutting American taxpayers out of the discussion on how to reduce spending and balance the budget," FreedomWorks said in a statement. "The Tea Party Debt Commission was created to give the American people a platform to be heard, and to propose specific cuts to the federal budget."

"The committee's goal is to create a budget plan that balances the federal budget within 10 years; reduces federal spending to 18 percent of GDP; reduces the national debt to no more than 66 percent of GDP; reduces federal spending by at least $9 trillion over 10 years (including $300 billion in the first year); and does not raise taxes," the group said in their statement.

"FreedomWorks" is fake 'Tea Party' organization in that they are not 'grassroots'. They are essentially a WASHINGTON DC lobbying organization controlled by a bunch of former politician and a bunch of institutional heads. The fact that they want to publicize that they are meeting at a "Denny's" is pure crock and smoke to masquerade their true make-up.

I would like to see someone take the government financial requirements and break them down....totally. In other words, we have the President, Congress and the Supreme Court. What does it take to run these three, including staff. Forget the debt and all other programs for now. Once that is established, start adding the military, Medicare and Social Security. Then start adding other programs the government spends money on. Then list the debt, item by item. Break it all down, even money given to other countries. I think this is the only way to get the people to understand what our tax money is being spent on.

They are so stuck on "Washington think" that they had to mimick the moniker "Super Committee" to what they are doing. We don't WANT or NEED anymore "SUPER Committee" anything. We're trying to get away from all the crap that they are concocting in Washington. For goodness sakes, man, listen to what the real Tea Party people are clamoring for. It's not more "Washington think"! And, NO! I'm not going to "buckle down" to any "ideology-think" and not call out a point that should be considered, just to cover for "our side", whatever that is. So, I am not going to "get in line"! Are they EXCLUSIVELY controlled by a bunch of "institutionalists"?... YES!

Are they evil? - NO! - But you need to call out a 'fake' run when you see it, because it's a sign of potential ulterior motives.

I'm glad when people promote the Tea Party folks and what they stand for, but I have funny feeling about a group that is based out of Washington, used to be called something else through an incestuous relationship amongst a bunch of "think-tankers" and "corporate lobbyists"...

Empower America was founded in 1993 by William Bennett, former Secretary of HUD Jack Kemp, former Ambassador Jeane J. Kirkpatrick, and former Representative Vin Weber.[6] In December 2006, Steve Forbes joined the board of directors.[7]"

So, what about 'Think-Tanker' Bill Bennett? Here's what 'Think-Tanker' WA DC plutard Bill Bennett had to say about Sarah Palin on CNN - May 10th 2009, just as the Tea Party was getting started and Palin and Rush were starting to hone in on Obama (while he was still a saintly):

“One of the things the media could do – some of the media – is to move the debate off Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh,” Bennett, a CNN Contributor, said on State of the Union. “This is probably not the future of the Republican Party,” added Bennett."

“You don’t think Gov. Palin’s the future of the Republican Party?” queried CNN Chief National Correspondent John King.

“I do not,” said Bennett. “It could talk about a Paul Ryan or a Mike Pence. It could talk about a Bobby Jindal. It could talk even about a John Kyl or a David Petraeus. You know, there’s a lot of talent in this party.”

All these people run around in the same circle of influence and manipulation for the 'Establishment'. I just want to point out to be wary of these folks. They usually have ulterior motives and interests apart from us here on the ground working day in and day out and trying to prosper with less government interference in our lives.
