Folks here can beat me and anyone else up who dares comment positively on any of his positions, but I never said Ron Paul wasn’t a kook.

What I am saying is that we hear precious little from any of the other candidates about reigning in an out of control Fed, Taking back control of our money from the world banksters, Drastically cutting the size and scope of the Federal Government by eliminating entire agencies, or about simply taking the Constitution seriously when it comes to States rights and the power that is reserved to the people.

Only the kooks actually go there. None of the other candidates give any of that more than token lip service, and little, if any, actual observable action.

Why is that?

Why?

Even Sarah Palin, who will get my vote if she runs, doesn’t seem to be able to take the leadership of support for the Constitution from Ron Paul.

How did seriously following the Constitution become the new third rail in this country?

How did we let Ron Paul become the primary owner of that political position?

Good questions. Inquiring minds want to know. I think the reason that no one is talking about these issues is that the economy, jobs, Obama(lackof)Care, illegal "immigrants" etc., are capturing everyone's immediate attention and no one is gibving any of the rest of these important issues a thought.

Or is it a chicken/egg thing --meaning as soon as they start taking the Constitution seriously, they get branded as "a kook". Although many profess to be Christians, as soon as they start taking "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" seriously in terms of policy, they get branded "a surrender monkey". They can talk about "liberty", but as soon as they start allowing people to do what they want as long as they aren't hurting anyone, then they are branded "dope-smoking libertines".

Since no one wants those awful labels and few have the stones to risk being branded that way (other than Ron Paul), they strive to be as bland and inoffensive as possible. Hard to find a real "champion" of anything from that pool of people, so desperate to have you like them & vote for them. Instead it produces "a Mitt Romney" whose real pretty and who'll say anything you want to hear just to get elected --a generic presidential candidate that you can dress up any way you want in your own head, because he's really just an empty suit who stands for nothing.
