Senior Palestinian negotiator Nabil Shaath said Wednesday that the Palestinians' statehood bid at the United Nations is the only alternative to violence, stressing that the UN move will give the Palestinians the change to promote their rights.
"The UN is the only alternative to violence," Shaath said during a press conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly."It will be very costly to us and the Israelis. Our new heroes are Gandhi, Mandela and Martin Luther King."

Alternative? It’s a precursor.
What happens when a state allows terrorist attacks from a territory on its neighbor?
Violence? The Palestinians were showing violence at a check point in Israel as the President was speaking. That’s a real good way to make them a state. Guess they were trying to scare the world into making them a state. They haven’t earned it yet and probably never will.
Man, how transparent do their lies have to be nowadays, eh?
Our new heroes are Gandhi, Mandela and Martin Luther King.”
What a boatload of horse dung.
Make us a State OR there will be violence.
Make us a State AND there will be violence , Is there a difference?
I can see Mandella being their hero he was a terrorist himself.
MLK he was a Commie
Ghandi? Nah , No way.
The problem isn’t that they want a state. The problem is there is already a state where they want theirs to be.
Like when Mexicans invade the U.S., for example.
well....now that we know the rules, we understand that preemptive strikes are not only justified, but must be more convincing.
Sounds like a threat to me, in the guise of an excuse, (Oh well, I can’t stop my people from rioting and attacking.) That dog just don’t hunt.
Notice they use the names of Popular figures in the infidel world.
We know damn good and well the only heros they have is OBL, BHO and HRC.
Bibi should make it clear that if there is any more violence from Gaza there will cease to be a Gaza. Period.
IDF reservists have been called up, they’ve done all this before, the umpteenth intifada will be proclaimed to the usual screams of “Allahu akbar!!”, use of deadly force will be authorized, the Palis will shed a few hundred or maybe a thousand of their excess unemployable unmarriagable males, and Israel will go on.
And we all know who the father of lies is.
Perzactly. Enough is enough. Get ‘er done.
ah...but your suggestion of repeated patterns, ignores my use of the term “convincing”.
The snake is deterred when the head is removed.
Re your post 8 (Mexico invading US)...
I was thinking more along the lines of Georgia ticking off Russia, or what would happen if the PKK got a Kurdish homeland and used it to attack Turkey.
I have another alternative. Israel destroys the Palestinians for shelling their towns for years and years and there will be peace.
See, statehood is not the only answer.
If a Muslim said it, it’s a lie.
Plain and simple.
“the snake is deterred when the head is removed”
I’ve given that metaphor due thought. Consider:
A rattlesnake head is dangerous long after it is severed.
In 2004 the Israelis were offing one Hamas or Fatah bigwig after another and others sprang up to take their place and even lectured the Jews to stop killing them.
The many-headed Hydra may be a more apt metaphor. Kill one head and the monster quickly regenerates more heads.
Convincing hasn’t seemed to work with the palis. They must simply be killed in such numbers as to persuade the survivors that the jihad’s not worth the price. But that doesn’t work either when their Koran has brainwashed them to believe that paradise comes after death.
Many Christians even the most devout spend their lives uncertain of their eternal fate (I’m one) and therefore govern their lives according to the L-rd’s mandate to do good and avoid sin and paramount to this belief is to love one’s neighbor as one’s self.
Not so for the Muslim. He is superior to all others. Jihad sanctifies his existence and the virgins are his certain reward.
