ST. PAUL, Minn.Former Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman is getting behind Mitt Romney in the GOP presidential race, and gaining a role within the ex-Massachusetts governor's campaign.
Romney's campaign announced Wednesday that Coleman would come aboard as a special adviser on policy. Coleman joins former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty as a Romney backer.

Romney and the guy who lost to Al Franken.
I’m sure that will help.
Well, at least we’re seeing the RINOs come out of the closet!
I like Norm. Just not in the GOP and in elected office.
“Well, at least were seeing the RINOs come out of the closet!”
Yeah, and you are known best by the company you keep.
I guess Coleman was having money problems like Pawlenty. Daddy Warbucks Romney to the rescue.
Romney brought RomneyCare to his state, when he was governor, and this is very similar to ObamaCare. Won't that hurt Romney in the primary, and if he wins, in the general election? If Romney is the Republican nominee, wouldn't that takes away a major bullet for the Republicans to use against obamma and the Democrats.
How would Romney supporters answer that?
This will give him about a 0.002% bump in the polls. Or am I being too generous?
That saved me from having to make a post.
That saved me from having to make a post.
But you just did.......
Romney says that the difference is that each state should make the determination as to what’s best for itself and, in the case of MA, he and the legislature determined that the plan put into place was best for MA, and that states have the authority to require indivduals to purchase health insurance
He further contends that the Constitution does not give the federal govt. the authority to force individuals to buy private insurance and, thus, Obamacare is unconstitutional. He says that if elected, he will, re: Obamacare, immediately issue waivers to all 50 states.
I’m not saying I necessarily agree, or concur with the above, only reporting what my understanding is of Romney’s position.
maybe he can advise Romney on how not to lose to Chevy Chase or Jane Curtin
I swear there is something in the water up there. Looney lakes.
Minnesota & in particular, Minneapolis/St Paul have enough social unrest & other problems of their own.
Perhaps these 2 can help at home before they venture out & TRY to tell us how to vote.
I wouldn’t let anyone who lost to Al Franken on my property, much less take his advice!!!
Perhaps the water is piped in from New England.
That question of yours will prolly fall on deaf ears in this forum....
He didn't lose to al franken, al franken stole it from him. I actually like Norm Coleman. I think this will turn out to be a good move for romney which I certainly don't support, but nevertheless!
