Waiting for Superman or Superwomen in GOP Primary (Vanity)

Call me underwhelmed with the two frontrunners in the GOP primary race. It is concerning that the top challenges to Obama, ObamaCare and "crony capitalism" are essentially neutralized by Romney (RomneyCare) or Perry (cronyism). Pick your poison, conservatives, because one of these top challenges will likely be off the table.

The article linked to concerns Mike Toomey, an individual intrinsically linked to Gov. Perry's political and personal life.

Hmmmmm. Now if only we had a candidate who speaks consistently against both big government and crony capitalism, with the record to back it up.

LOL

To be fair to Romney, he considers any nationwide plan such as Obamacare to be anathema and has promised to sign any bill repealing it. He wants the stupidity to be restricted to the state level. Surely if blue states want to Bluecare themselves to death, that’s their privilege. Perry’s crony connections, especially in modern years, are nebulous and debatable — Perry simply does not have any Solyndras or LightSquareds.

Mike Toomey = Perry's ex chief of staff who was hired on as Gardasil’s lobbyist. He's not the only Perry chief of staff with such skeletons.

I'm also waiting for a GOP candidate I don't have to hold my nose to vote for. Herman Cain was my superman but he's not getting much traction.

Today, in response to Sarah Palin. Obama said his “hopey changey” thing is real and working as he wanted...and it is true.

Obama promised to bring, “fundamental change.” to America. Five days before taking office he said he was “Five days away from Fundamentally Transforming America.” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cqN4NIEtOY)
He has delivered on that promise.

Our nation’s industries and economy are being transformed into command economy structures akin to marxism instead of the free market. Our nation’s military is being weakened through every avenue imaginable. Tens of millions are out of work. Tens of millions have lost their homes (and make no mistake, it was not Bush’s fault(http://www.jeffhead.com//obama/communityorgan.htm)). Our nations fundamental values are being ignored, trampled upon, and treated with contempt.

Barack Hussein Obama is an abject marxist ideolog (http://www.jeffhead.com/obama-time.htm). His upbringing, his maturation, his schooling, his circle of acquiantences and influence (http://www.jeffhead.com/obamacircle.htm), his work history, and now all of his politics point to and punctuates this fact without question.

So he reaffirmed today that his “hopey changey” thing is real and working as he wanted...and that is true.

But it is also mortally dangerous to America, to liberty and to the free market...mortally dangerous to our way of life.

Sarah Palin (http://www.jeffhead.com/palin/) and a few other GOP candidates have the spirit, the track record, and the principles and moral values to take on these political enemies, and those abetting them or not standing up to them, and set the nation back on its intended course grounded in constitutional, fundamental, Judao-Christian moral values. The MSM, the DNC, the liberal/socialist/marxists, the establishment types and the RINOs know it and fear it. That is why they are so vocal against her and will do anything to stop them, and particularly Sarah.

I pray for her and her family, for God’s blessing and protection to be upon them. May she or another stand in the gap and toll the bell, and rally the American people to put this dirth down and route these vipers out and bring pride, strength, prosperity, and clear direction and strength back to America.

The standard for crony capitalism is not huge, gigantic cases like Solyndra.

It’s the small, below the surface shady deals that have been going on all along.

If Perry has come out with even a little peep against crony capitalism, let me know because I haven’t heard it.

As for Romney wanting the stupidity to be restricted to the state level, does he support governors who put their signature to this kind of stupidity?

>>>>>>Call me underwhelmed with the two frontrunners in the GOP primary race.

Well, you're half right.

Romney has the albatross of Romneycare hanging around his neck, along with a lifetime of supporting liberalism, when he wasn't flipping on every major issue. Willard's a phony and fraud. And he can't beat Obama.

Perry has a serious problem with his opposition to a full border fence. Otherwise, most of this stuff is nothing but gossip, rumor and innuendo. The in-state tuition is a states rights issue. The Gardasil issue is way overblown and besides Perry called it a mistake on his part. None of these issues disqualifies Perry for being the GOP nominee or potus and none will stop his march to the nomination.

God bless you for your work. You obviously have your finger on the pulse of what has transpired under the Obama administration. Hope your message carries far and wide, Jeff.

An electorate that`s waiting for Superman/woman IS the problem--that`s what got us Obama.

We need an electorate that isn`t looking for saviors, but sees itself as being the `heroes` of their own lives who are looking only for competent public servants who understand the limits of government, the founding principles of this nation, and who see government`s role as limited.

Superheroes need not apply.

Sadly we are going to, like every year, vote for a human. Humans, it is rumored, lead imperfect lives.

Thanks for this.

Of course, you are absolutely right. The hyperbole about Obama led us to this mess we are in. It will take a Herculean effort to get us on the right track.

An electorate who for some reason didn't think Obama was a Marxist IS the problem and IS how we got Obama.

Of course no politician is a savior.
