Cynthia A. Schnedar
Acting Inspector General
U. S. Department of Justice

Cynthia A. Schnedar assumed the position of Acting Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Justice on January 29, 2011. She joined the Office of the Inspector General in October 2005 and served as Counselor to the Inspector General until July 2010, when she was appointed as Deputy Inspector General.

Ms. Schnedar began her career with the Department of Justice in 1989 as an Honors Program attorney assigned to the Civil Division, where she represented the United States in complex civil fraud litigation under the False Claims Act. In 1994, she became an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C., where she was the lead attorney in more than 30 trials as a criminal prosecutor and a civil attorney. She also handled numerous grand jury investigations and argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. During her last two years with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, she served as the Deputy Chief of the Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Section.

Ms. Schnedar received her Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1988, and following law school, clerked for the Honorable James R. Browning on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She received her Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in journalism and political science from the University of New Mexico in 1983. She worked as an on-air reporter for television stations in New Mexico and Texas from 1983 to 1985.

Schnedar failed to even listen to the recordings before handing them over to the actual targets of the investigation, the letter alleges.

Why would she do that, unless she was ordered to hand them over right now? Somebody above her in a big hurry?

DOJ Inspector General Can’t Be Trusted to Investigate Gunwalker Posted By Bob Owens

“Aside from Schnedar’s credibility gap, the source further noted the Obama administration’s history of intimidating inspectors general, citing the firing and smearing [2] of Inspector General of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) Gerald Walpin, who was investigating [3] the AmeriCorps scandal, which had in its sights Obama’s friend Kevin Johnson.”

Given the abundance of official, expert, and media reports of large-scale false imprisonments, widespread corruption of the courts, and unprecedented fraudulent dispossession of homeowners throughout the United States, the testimony by the Acting Inspector General must be deemed false and deliberately misleading.

Los Angeles, February 10 – on February 9, 2010

Acting Inspector General Cynthia Schendar, US Department of Justice, provided a statement before the US House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, concerning oversight of the department of justice. [[i]] Upon review of the statement and the true facts in the matter, the statement must be deemed false and deliberately misleading.

The statement lists “challenges” of the US Department of Justice, similar to those that have been listed in previous years, including:

The Democrat party is one critter that never changes its stripes, Mrs. Justice Inspector you’d have been better off letting this sadly ignored story run out of steam.

Like many Freepers, I believe that the power to appoint a special prosecutor has often been abused over the years. But if there is ever a case that cries out for a special prosecutor, then this is it. The GOP leadership and the MSM, however, have been passive on this issue. The drums have been mostly silent. Why?

But ATF officials are quoted in a Washington Post article and the Spanish language daily La Opinion saying just the opposite -- blaming Lone Wolf for "selling guns to the cartels" with no mention that Howard was operating under the federal government's direction, encouragement and approval.

LOL! let's see the prosecution.
