This is 2011 and not 1979. Primaries are now bunched into the first few months of the year and the nomonations are largely decided by the time primaries got underway in earnest in 1980.
Yeah, there’s no one who’s been campaigning for Tea Party and other conservatives and standing up to the incumbent Democrat for three years and who was the VP nominee last time and almost saved her running mate’s bacon. In denial, or what?
