Riehl: Is Rick Perry Done?
Conservatives 4 Palin ^ | Sept. 23, 2011 | Dan Riehl

Posted on 09/23/2011 9:16:39 AM PDT by RobaWho

Everyone here in Palinville who looks forward to good hard competition will be relieved to know that Gov. Rick Perry was NOT drunk at last night’s debate, all appearances to the contrary. It’s just that before taking the stage he inexplicably chose to receive a Gardasil shot, one of whose known side effects is mental slowness.

I heard about the whole pre-debate immunization from Michele Bachmann’s Twitter.I could be wrong on that. It’s just the information I received.

But enough about my opinion of Perry’s debate performance, let’s hear Dan Riehl’s …

Actually both Perry and Romney should drop out. Both proved conclusively last night they have NO business being in the race.

Both are Democrat Lite Establishment bots.

We cannot afford either of them.

The Republic is in danger. We need real tough solutions and real leadership not more twist in the breeze politics as usual types.

Neither Romney nor Perry are fit to be President.

“Going in, I saw these last three debates as critical to him, but by no means everything. Unfortunately, instead of seizing upon them as an opportunity, his now obviously very weak debating skills have proved to be disastrous. He went in as a fresh face and has now, to some extent, damaged himself. I’m by no means writing him off. But Perry’s path to the nomination just got a whole lot harder and longer. He comes out of these debates needing to turn things around, while facing an experienced and relentless Romney machine intent on not giving him the opportunity to do it.”

Yeah why not get rid of Rick Perry and let’s wait for Obama to be re-elected.

Here, Here! 100% correct. Palin bests Perry in EVERY single possible category, from Jobs, Debt Reduction, Taxes, Spending Cuts, Bold Leadership, Conservative Credentials, Zero Crony Capitalism, Consistent Respect for the Constitution, Healthcare, Immigration - you name the issue, Palin’s records is stronger and more consistent than Perry, Romney and every other candidate in the race — or even Chris “The One” Christie that many in the progressive right wing of the pundit class seem to love. Last night’s debate simply solidified the public’s complete dissatisfaction with our current GOP options. Yes, all would be “better than Obama.” That is not our standard - We need the absolute best candidate - period. Gov. Sarah Palin is that candidate.

I’m not a Perry fan but there are an awful lot of cheap shots being landed in that first line.

At this point I believe most of us are going to go to the polls with the “anything but Obama” attitude. I have had to hold my nose and vote before and I will do it again if I have to. All I know is the democrats must be stopped from destroying this country, by any and all means.

I agree with you 100%! Perry should NOT drop out. Strong, vigorous debate and open competition is GOOD for America and the entire world. The more exposure the world gets to bad ideas, less than sound policy, outright lies, historical hypocrisy, bad policies, the proper role of Government, the virtues of free enterprise, etc. - the more these ideas are discussed and the public is exposed to legitimate vs. illegitimate &/or failed ideas, the better!

Perry has 10 years of experience as governor of a very populous state. Palin has 2.5 years experience as governor of a state that has less population than many of the counties I have lived in.

I’m not happy with Perry on certain counts but this is not as easy a call for some of us as you seem to think.

Frankly this looks like a really cheap shot by C4P. I’ve seen this before and called them on it on their f/b page.

Actually both Perry and Romney should drop out...

Neither Romney nor Perry are fit to be President.

Neither Romney nor Perry will drop out and there is no fitness test. Voters will order from the menu just as we always have.

If you think someone else on that stage is better than the two frontrunners then name them and explain why and maybe they will rise. If you are waiting for someone else to enter then name them and explain why they should.

Simply trashing the frontrunners helps only the leftists.
