Its been a good few weeks for Sarah Palin.
First, Joe McGinnisss tell-all book about her was slammed by the mainstream media (those coming to Palins defense included the New York Times and even liberal antagonist Keith Olbermann).
Now, a new national poll shows her trailing President Obama in a head-to-head matchup by just 5 points, 44 to 49 - this, after she had trailed him by more than 20 points for most of the year. Thats better than current GOP frontrunner Rick Perry, who trails the president 41 to 50 in the same poll.
According to the survey, Palins recent jump in support has come mostly from independents, who have lately been abandoning the president in droves. Still, she remains a controversial figure: 72 percent of Republicans and independents in the same survey also said they dont actually think Palin should run.

We’re lookin @ the next POTUS, right there...!
CANNOT WAIT..!
lol
that would be some trick, to win without running.
She didn't say which September, of course.
She said to Hannity when once again he asked her if she will run and will it be by November, that this election will be unconventional. I think sarah has a plan and it is working beautifully. She has a plan and a well thought out time frame. That plan, I believe is letting Perry fall with the others shooting the arrows, then when it looks like it will be a Romney vs. Obama election, and we are all down in the dumps, then she makes her announcement, bringing unbelievable excitement back to the election. And she will shoot right to the top the same way Perry first did. From then on it will be Palin vs. Romney all the way to the Primary.
Ooops! Already posted, however did not show up in initial search. Sorry for the re-post, although worthy of additional comments.

Yes!...No!...Maybe!...I Don’t Know!...Guinea Pig With Pancake On Head!
Palin, Christie, etc. I want them all in. Now. Doing the work, facing the heat, building the organization, honing the message...
Competition is a good thing - and we must beat Obama.
What a tease. Fuggedabout it. She has turned herself into a joke plus it is kind of elitists and arrogant to take a pass on the Republican debates. As if you are too good for them. But this is moot because she isn’t running anyway
Why should conservatives hand over their microphone and message to the leftists in the MSM who ask a bunch of stupid questions and not only make themselves look stupid, but more importantly silence the message of the conservative candidates who have the answers for America and instead make them also look stupid and marginalized?
I think Sarah's right to have done this. The conservative candidates with their head screwed on straight should band together and demand ground rules that include conservative moderators and questions that go the heart of the issues that threaten our country's future. They should also widely publicize these demands to the American people and figure out their own live video debate if they can't get cooperation.
I hope my own pessimism is denied and she does declare. To date she looks, in one respect, like traditional Republicans in that we are all waiting for her to decide when it is The Right Time to make The Move. I waited for George HW Bush to do that but he never did and lost. I waited for Dole to do it but he dithered on. I waited for McCain but he never ramped it up at any strategic moment. Even W never kicked it into gear in the second run but he managed to get by anyway. Palin is outside the process now. If she fails to jump in she cannot win no matter how bad the kenyan is and we all must lose.
I love how the very same people that said it doesn’t matter if Palin jumps in late and misses the debates are now saying that debate performance in the most critical criteria a candidate can have, and since Perry isn’t quite good at it, he can’t win. And yet... it’s perfectly fine with them if Palin skips all the debates.
The best trick is watching everybody else implode before committing to running. She may not run. But our choices now are nothing to be excited about.
What are you talking about? Dole, McCain and 41 all secured the party nomination, they were just lackluster “moderate” candidates.
There’s nothing lackluster about Palin and she’s a genuine conservative—she just hasn’t entered the race or secured the nomination yet.
If she had jumped in no one else would be vetted. It would be all Palin all the time.
Sarah is doing the right thing.
Yes. They are. And the candidates are dancing to the left's tune. Too bad more of them can't see that.
