Full title: Texas Gov. Rick Perry introduces himself to Michigan GOP, pronounces 'Mackinac' correctly.

After hearing Texas Gov. Rick Perry introduce himself to Michigan Republicans Saturday, Cutlerville resident Jason Poort said he may become a supporter of Perry's presidential campaign.

"Right now I'd have to prefer Perry over (Mitt) Romney. I did like his comments about getting government out of our lives," said the 33-year-old computer systems engineer after Perry's 15-minute luncheon speech.

Perry's political demise have been exaggerated.

The small government theme still resonates with people.

In the night, I hear ‘em talk,
the coldest story ever told
Somewhere far along this road, Perry lost his soul to a party so heartless..
How could we be so heartless?
Oh.. How could the GOP be so heartless?

“The small government theme still resonates with people. “

Small border fence. Lots of $$$ to help pay for illegals’ tuition. As Perry said: si se puede!

Mark Levin, on his show 9/23/11, regarding Rick Perry and in-state tuition for the children of illegals:

"They [the children of illegals] are being educated, right up to and through high school.

Where did it come to pass that if you're here illegally, you have a right to a college education, let alone the right to have it subsidized, when all Americans do NOT have their college educations subsidized?

I mean, this is perverse, to be honest with you.

And it is also the position of the Bush family. And I think, if I'm wrong, I stand corrected, it's the position of some of our "inside-the-beltway" publications.

But it is not the position of the American people, who have to pay this bill, endlessly."

You are heartless! Can't you see Perry supporters are having a bad day?

They're not the only ones...

So, what did he say to introduce himself?

“Howdy, you heartless, uncaring bigoted bastards! A vote for me will do more for your soul than 100 Hail Marys...”

There’s a Michigan GOP? I left Illinois for Texas cause I couldn’t find the GOP in Illinois. Closet thing truly conservative in Illinois was the Constitution Party.
