Sounds a little like “Curses, foiled again!”.

Go back and review what Palin's actually been up to over the last two years

Snarky attempt at demeaning satire duly noted and filed accordingly (flush...)

I think you've been 'behind liberal lines' too long. You're starting to sound just like the enemy.

If Palin thinks she can win by skipping primaries (like Florida and South Carolina), she's welcome to try. Reagan didn't skip primaries.

Palin didn't say that - the author did. It's a ridiculous theory, but otherwise, the article is a good piece.

Clairvoyance?

Dunno, but post 92 is coming up soon. We'll see here in just a few minutes.

Is it possible to file the paperwork for state primaries without officially announcing?

Not really. As far as I know, any candidate paperwork filed is public record, and here in Illinois it will be on the state board of elections website more or less immediately. This is so objectors can jump right in and try to knock people off the ballot, and I actually know of one objector here who will complain about candidate birth certificates.

So no, trying to file without announcing would really just be turning the announcement over to a hostile press, and there's no upside to that.

Sarah Palin is too cool and too rogue to participate in GOP debates. That’s for the little people. Palin is waiting for the lead candidates to implode, then she steps in to save the day. I doubt her scenario will take place plus this is what vultures do.

Sarah is within 5 points of BO in the latest polls. As other candidates slip, some of their support might look to Gov. Palin.

Ahhh no ... if she wants to enter the race now is the time to do it. Not getting in earlier was fine, but now it’s crunch time - do whatever she will, but decisions must be made.

Some states require teh canddiate to file, some require the delegates to file. Some of Palin’s delegates can file whether she’d declared or not. And her supporters can file for her to be on ballots whether she’s formally in the race or not.

First of all, Palin isn't above debating any serious contender about the state of the country, and which solutions are best for fixing it.

Where you err, is in attaching any value to the current dog and pony shows that some are calling 'debates'. Mitt Romney and Rick Perry have (or had) enough name recognition and standing in the polls, that they could have delayed their entry into the race, and skipped most of these 'debates', just as Palin is doing.

They would have avoided being damaged by their opponents, and would have kept the chances of their losing any points to a minimum, as well. In addition, they could have continued to get their messages out to supporters and potential supporters without being a part of that demolition derby - and saved a whole lot of campaign cash and energy to boot.

But, for whatever reason, they felt they had to jump in with both feet and battle it out with the second tier. Now that they have, what have they gained? More support? No.... Better standing in the polls? No.... A strengthened message? No.... Better positioning as front runners? Not exactly...

So, tell me again why Sarah Palin is making a mistake by delaying her entry into the race?

I’ve moved on to Herman Cain, who actually has the guts to get in the race and show up and debate, instead of hemming and hawing.

...the Establishment outsider, Perry.

What a concise way to describe him. I don't think I've seen better.

I've perused many Perry threads, and read the various posters debating his pros and cons, but as someone who's watched him closely as my Governor, all I can say is that I saw right through him years and years ago.

For what it's worth, he doesn't come across as sincere. Every time I've watched him speak, my radar has started pinging, "con man alert!" I've been around the block enough times to know the vibes of real honesty and sincerity, and Perry just does not have emanate them.

Perhaps now that he's been in a couple of televised debates, people will see in him, what voters in 1960 saw in Nixon. I'm sorry, but the man has always struck me as a politician's politician. For my money, he is most definitely the establishment's hand-picked outsider.

hemming and hawing

By now, it should be clear to even the dimmest among us, that Sarah isn't procrastinating, or trying to make up her mind about running.

I, and many others, figured out months ago, that she's strategically timing her entry into the race for maximum advantage. Two or three months ago, that took some serious observation and deduction to figure out, but now? It's plain for all to see. Even the MSM turdlings get it.

Great post.

These “debates” resemble a joint news conference, with the questions asked by liberal pundits.

I would much rather see the GOP contenders ask each other questions, instead of fielding gotcha questions from the so-called moderators.

If Palin was running she had to jump in a few weeks ago.

Seriously? Have you seen the debate schedule?
