Not necessarily...Newt is my #1 pick, but he's un-electable....so now Mitt is my favorite this week....if Palin gets in, she'll be my new #1.
Perry needs to go away....I can't stand to look at the mealy feely emotional illegal alien aid an abettor RINO anymore.

The overwhelming likelihood is that Perry is as real and as conservative a candidate as you are going to get. You can stamp your foot, roll around on the floor and hold your breath until your face turns blue. It won't change a thing. Unless some other serious candidate enters the race, it's Romney v. Perry, and Perry wins. Moreover, Perry will win with strong support from most conservatives, including a clear majority of those who hang out at FR.
Deal with it.

Check the threads, Perry lost a lot of support this last week, including me. Lost A LOT of support here.
Perry’s policies, histories, comments last week and his complete lack of debate skills has shown he can’t win and he isn’t a conservative at all.
I talked to a good friend in Texas who worked with Perry and she said he isn’t a conservative and has done a lot to hurt the state. From what I see, I agree with her.
Your claim it is perry or Mitt is a false choice. There are some real conservatives out there and if we start acting like conservatives and back them rather than RINOS like Perry, we will win with without a RINO.

A Perry or Romney presidency will just lead to 8 more years of a liberal democrat after the 4 years of a RINO, if that happens this country will be finished...for good.
The time is right for a CONSERVATIVE candidate, the base is fed up with RINOS.
