Where is the House leadership saying that the democrats in the Senate care more about making half billion dollar bad loans to companies like Solyndra rather than helping flood victims?

At the local and state levels, the govt has been playing this game for years. Make sure essential services and education bear the brunt of any shortfalls in cash, then play it up to the masses. I am totally disgusted by all levels of govt in this country. That is true for anybody associated with it, from either party, and equally rationed out. If a person is within the structure, and is not loudly and strongly trying to change things, they are in the enemies camp.

Good. Shut down the real hogs, too: public education and other federal funding to debt-guzzling locals. We don’t need ‘em. We need production—not regulation, paid gossip and thieveries. Shut down pork in general, and get out of the way of Americans willing to work.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency may have enough money to last until the end of the week, raising the possibility that Congress could avert a government shutdown by end of the day on Friday

I'm confused why would FEMA running out of money shut down the government?
