When this all came out, I emailed Random House and told them straight up that I hoped Palin ended up owning them! I love it when a plan comes together!
I'd like to see someone nail is nut-sack to the top of a telephone pole, then pour hot lead in his butt until his nose touches the ground. But that's just me.
Now that sounds like must watch TV.
Go Sarah go!
That's not nearly enough. The book sales will be pathetic. Sales be lucky to break even. What they should ask for is all of the sale proceeds, plus all the Palin's legal expenses, plus several million dollars for harm to all their reputations.
You make that sound like a demotion.
Your are partially correct. It is difficult for a public figure to sue for libel, if it can be shown the publication had "Absence of Malice." Meaning you can publish something that is untrue and malicious if you thought it was true and thus passes the "Absence of Malice test."
The publisher is clearly far past the Absence of Malice legal line. The publication was malicious and the publisher new it was based not on fact.
Sara Palin owns them today.
I just sent Random House my point of view...
they need to hear from millions...

I have a copy of Fortunate Son, the anti-Bush screed by J.H. Hatfield which contained the "explosive" allegations about Bush's cocaine use (it's amazing what is considered scandalous when the alleged wrongdoer is a Republican). If you'll recall, J.H. Hatfield committed suicide after publishing the book when his own reputation was called into question.
It had better be real. Andrew Breitbart's been set up before, so I'd hope that he would be absolutely certain before going public with this.
I wish someone had gone after the fat b@$&d Michael Moore for defamation and libel. He was on some station last night spewing about wallstreet and the heroic protesters.
I agree. Bush tried to be a gentleman and stayabove the fay, but in todays world, if you don’t fight back, the left uses it to make their lies into facts. Bush’s second biggest mistake was not fighting back against real lies and smears. His first was spending too much
It is ironic or revealing that the left put together a fight the smears website to try to squash truths about their man of mystery.
