I like the closing sentence in the law firm’s letter to Crown/Random House: “Please don’t hesitate to call if you have questions or concerns or if you wish to settle this dispute.” Key words being “if you wish to settle”.
They MIGHT arrive at a mutually acceptable figure by which the Palins receive suitable compensation, while Random House salvages some portion of their rear ends; and the sleazeball McGinniss becomes unmistakably branded as toxic and nobody will ever again touch him with a mile-long pole!

I think she's going to go for a public statement from McGinnis and Random House apologizing for the book and making a statement that nothing in the book is factual and that they're pulling the book from distribution.

Good for her.
Been suggesting a lawsuit from day one.
It’s the only language they understand.

I’m thrilled she’s fighting this. Sometimes you just gotta fight evil. And that’s what McGinniss and Random House are... pure, abject evil.

This guy is toast. He’ll be lucky if he can get a job shoveling manure after this. Oh except MSNBC likes this kind of sleaze. So he might get a job shoveling manure over their.

I'd like to see stories describing how the publisher's children pick up sending money at truck stops. Names, blurred pic, locations, testimonies, diseases contracted, etc.

Accordingly, since both your company, and the author, clearly knew the statements were false, admitted they had no basis in fact or reality, but decided to publish in order to harm Governor Palins family Interesting wording, IMHO. It's hard to sue for libel or slander against a "public figure," which Governor Palin would appear to be, even though she is no longer in office.
But . . . maybe there's a better chance of winning a lawsuit for slandering the Palin family--which all these stooges have been doing since Day One, right down to the babies.

The depth of what Libs do and say to hurt the Palins is abnormal. It is visceral and without cause.

I think Joe McGinniss needs to have a bunch of people move in next to him and follow him everywhere he goes. Taking pictures all the time of course.

By the way, didn’t Breitbart indicate that he has ‘more’ coming, beyond just this already-damning e-mail?

So now the Palins own a publishing house.
Cool.
And all they had to do was live their lives day to day.
