I like the closing sentence in the law firm’s letter to Crown/Random House: “Please don’t hesitate to call if you have questions or concerns or if you wish to settle this dispute.” Key words being “if you wish to settle”.
They MIGHT arrive at a mutually acceptable figure by which the Palins receive suitable compensation, while Random House salvages some portion of their rear ends; and the sleazeball McGinniss becomes unmistakably branded as toxic and nobody will ever again touch him with a mile-long pole!
I believe that Random House may huff and puff for awhile saying they back Joe and the book et al and then settle before it goes to court knowing full well that the “emails” are a damning evidence - I hope Palin uses that money for her campaign.
How about all of the proceeds, plus legal expenses, from the sale of the book?
Probably a good thing that Oprah isn’t still on ABC doing her Book Club.
This guy would have been front & center with her.
Where is this book’s standing on the NYT bestseller list? Somewhere behind Nancy Pelosi’s book, I’d imagine.
I wish someone had gone after the fat b@$&d Michael Moore for defamation and libel. He was on some station last night spewing about wallstreet and the heroic protesters.
