I’m sure the number is high, but I don’t think it’s THAT high. I’m not defending this guy...I’m not a fan, for sure...but I hate when we do this crap. Save this kind of exaggeration for the Dem candidate.

Well Digger said it so it must be true. Interesting that I live here and I don't see it. I see people from Chicago here, and New York and Washington State. I see Ohioans and Pennsylvanians but the immigrant is harder to find. Oh there are quite a few Indians who seemed to have moved here but other than that it's mostly displaced Americans coming to Texas for work.

Nice Try but you and your ilk might try toning down the over the top barrage. People might start suspecting you're lying and give Perry some sympathy.

If I were you I would stick to the "Rick Perry hates America and 12 year old girls,his 12 year record as Texas Governor and Lt.Governor is all smoke and mirrors and he loves Muslims and Mexicans more than the people he defended as an Air Force Pilot. He really despises his own parents and all that salt of the earth thing too."

Where did you dig up this turd?

The link you provided failed. Obviously, this is another BS hit piece from an obscure source. Yet you run with it anyway.

Doing the dirty work for the Left for free I see.

81% Of Texas Job Growth Under Perry Went To Immigrants

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is not true. This has already been debunked. There are previous FR threads with more info if anyone cares.
But the truth is... Who does care? If you don’t like Perry - you are gonna glom onto to this like a dog on a bone.
If you do like Perry (and if this crap was true) - it still wouldn’t change your mind.
Strange you didn't link it so I will.
http://cis.org/immigrants-filled-most-new-jobs-in-Texas
By their own admissions their numbers were a guess. I own a business that returns disabled people to the workforce in Texas, when this report first came out it started a stir but after review we found that the research was dubious at best and nothing more than an academic backed attack on Perry and the State of Texas.
Guess the author hasn’t ridden around Dallas, Houston or San Antonio. There are lots of cars down here from most of the other 57 states. Plus, the illegals have been self deporting since the housing industry hit the skids.
When a story such as this one repeatedly conflates illegal immigrants with legal immigrants, it can not be taken seriously.
One of my grandfathers and both of my grandmothers were immigrants. None of them were illegal immigrants.
Lumping them together like the author did is reprehensible.
The link is DEAD.
Is this from the same source that said Perry had new-born babies for breakfast?
Perry is another John McCain.
Pick him and Obama will cruise to a second term.
The only people who want Perry are the establishment Republicans, RINOs all, who fear losing control of their party to Tea Party people who want to restore and protect America and its citizens, not the illegal - ILLEGAL - aliens.
Not defending Perry or illegals working here, but what is the unemployment rate in Texas? What is the demographic break down of that unemployment.
Here's a link to the original study.
"Growth in Employment. There are two ways to examine the share of employment growth that went to immigrants vs. natives in Texas during the economic downturn. One way is to compare the increase in total employment to the number of newly arrived immigrants holding a job. The second way is to compare the increase in employment to net growth in the number of immigrants holding a job. While there are differences in these two comparisons, no matter which method is used, the data show that a disproportionate share of job growth went to immigrant workers. "
"Legal vs. Illegal Immigration. It is well established that illegal aliens do respond to government surveys such as the decennial Census and the Current Population Survey. While the CPS does not ask immigrants if they are legal residents of the United States, the Urban Institute, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the former INS, the Pew Hispanic Center, and the Census Bureau all have used socio-demographic characteristics in the data to estimate the size of the illegal-alien population. We follow this same approach"
Perriwinkles will ignore that the employment numbers are taken from the BLS, and that the illegal alien estimates are done that in the same way as done by DHS, INS, PEW, Census Bureau, etc. Translation - the illegal alien number is low balled.
Whenever someone throws around a statistic as specific as 81 when the underlying data is subject to interpretation I stop reading. The person using the stats are spreading BS. If they qualified their statements like "around 80%", then I might read farther.
The story of American jobs and labor is deeply intertwined with predatory Federal, state and local taxation and regulation....
South Koreans sleep soundly on their border with NORKS because of American Taxpayer dollars and the American GI.
Why can’t Texans, New Mexicans, Arizonans and Californians?....BECAUSE
Illegal immigration is THE KEY to the perpetuation of the status quo in DC......
Predatory tax and regulatory policies-actions that basically serve to perpetuate and grow governments-leave what business is left in the country seeking disposable labor.
Illegal Labor is the Feds out for preserving the status quo regarding Taxes and Regulation. Interestingly, that is WHY the Feds encourage in-state tuition etc for illegals under-the-table -their presence providing disposable labor allows Federal, State and local regulatory and tax excess in the status quo to continue
Immigration is the ultimate litmus test as to the candidates in question commitment to meaningful regulatory and tax reform. If they are wishy-washy on the subject...they have no real intent to disturb the DC status quo...no matter how big their cowboy hat and six-gun.
Real”leadership” is that which will place Flyover Country’s interest ahead of the Feds....haven’t yet seen anything meaningful anywhere from anybody to indicate that might happen. We have just one more election cycle to make that happen via rule of law. Otherwise its the end of the run for America.
Again? THis just happened yesterday. And the day before. And the day before. It seems every single day a whole NEW study comes out with the exact SAME bogus information.
Oh wait, it is the exact same REPORT with the exact same BOGUS information . We simply have to read it again and again and again, like it’s GroundHog day or something.
