Gay pride parade
Mayor Betsy Price will be one of three grand marshals in Saturday's "Ride the Rainbow" 30th Anniversary Pride Parade and Street Festival downtown.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at General Worth Square.
Burns, who is gay and gained national attention last year when he spoke out against bullying, will also take part in the parade.

I’m hoping some conservatives will cameras will have the stomach to attend and document the perversion. Personally, I don’t.

My e-mail to the Mayor:
Dear Mayor Price,
I learned, to my extreme dismay, of your planned participation in the “gay pride” parade scheduled for this weekend. By doing so, you betray the people of Fort Worth, who overwhelmingly oppose the perversion of homosexuality. Your participation is a stab in the back of supporters who voted for you over the stated, perverse positions of Jim Lane, a Democrat who embraces all of the Democratic ideals of moral nihilism. It was hoped that you would be the moderate voice of sanity in office; a stark relief from the jelly-spined former mayor. Instead, you seem to want to march lock-step in his footprints.
I suspect that the story of your participation in the parade was buried in the media and not at all, that I could find, on the City’s website. Could this be because everyone knows the reaction likely to be elicited from citizens?
Again, I want to express the utter abhorrence of the majority of citizens of this city for not only your endorsement of the perversion of homosexuality, but of your unforgiveable participation in their flaunting of this perversion in public view. Unless you reconsider following through with this despicable act, your defeat in the next election is certain, and I will work harder than I ever have to make sure you do not server another term, and, if possible, face a recall election to remove you from the office you have sullied.

Unfortunately, it’ll just embolden the mayor, the perverts and their supporters. They’ll claim they’re being oppressed by right-wing religious zealots and do even more to shock and offend the citizens of Fort Worth. Lord, have mercy.

Price is actually a little naive about a lot of things; and I don't think she realizes the backlash this is likely to cause. It is every bit possible that a barrage of letters and phone calls will shake her back to sanity.

ASHEVILLE — Mayor Terry Bellamy, a past opponent of city gay-rights initiatives, signed a proclamation Tuesday honoring the Saturday Blue Ridge Pride festival after pressure on multiple fronts.
The downtown festival, according to the proclamation, “promotes unity, visibility and self-esteem among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender persons and provides an opportunity to celebrate in harmony with their allies.”
Bellamy’s move Tuesday comes after public pressure from City Councilman Bill Russell and a meeting with gay-rights activists, who as a group have been open critics of the mayor’s stances.
The proclamation also comes amid polarizing public debate on an upcoming state constitutional referendum to ban gay marriage, including now-famous comments that the city is a “cesspool of sin,” from a state senator supporting the ban.
We are losing. Politicians and private businesses cave into the pressure of the homosexual and other deviants’ threats and coercion. Churches are afraid to preach against homosexuality. Public schools are promoting it. Television shows (often billed as “family fare”) glorify it. Courts are proclaiming homosexual “marriage” a civil right. I fear it is too late to bring America back from cultural collapse.

There are plenty of pictures on the Internet of homosexual parades all over the world. If people don’t know what really goes on, it is because they don’t want to.
I've never seen one first-hand, but I know all too well what happens at these events. And I'm still trying to erase those images from my memory.
That's why I'm so shocked that she's going along with this.
Most here don't know about the fiasco over the last 2½ years with the raid of a homo bar that enraged the homos into demanding a lot from cowardly city officials. This is part of it.
But we can't stop trying. We have to oppose it.
How do we oppose it? Write letters to politicians? Vote for “conservative Republicans” like the mayor of Ft. Worth? Boycott companies that give to homosexual causes? That’s like boycotting products from China. Pull our children out of public schools? Mine are grown and a lot of parents are unable to home-school or put their children in private schools. Preach the evils of homosexuality from the church pulpit? That is now considered “hate speech”. I’m waiting for God to solve the problem.
Typical of the gay rights crowd... GLAAD is attempting to shame Wayne Symmonds into apologizing for allegedly using a gay slur against fellow NHL player Sean Avery. But it's Avery's word against Symmonds'. Nobody knows what was actually said on the ice, but the gay rights cabal is seizing another opportunity to paint themselves as an oppressed minority. Maybe they're doing the same thing to the mayor?

Okay - what can we do?
The left is Stalinist. They're trying to destroy America from within as Stalin taught, so they can rebuild it in their own image. Of course, they'll fail.
The freeloaders will have no more free handouts, and won't know how to survive. They've never done anything to help any one- not even themselves.
There is no homosexual tolerance. It's all been forced on us. During a collapse, the homos will be the first to go. Forcing people to think and act contrary to their conscience creates hate.
There will be no environmentalism, because people will do what they have to do to survive.
There will be no abortions, because there will be no clinics to preform them. They'll be burnt to the ground.
Every left wing group will lose it's power, because no one will be around to cover for it. Only those who are mentally and spiritually strong will make it to the end.
America will be rebuilt, and the children will be taught to never, ever, allow another person to have power over them. They will be taught there are consequences to every action, and there are laws of nature and natures God that should never be broken again. The lefts global collapse will be "Seered, seered into their memories."
Obviously, pray. Write letters like fwdude's, even if you think they won't be well-received. Let people like this mayor know they'll never get our votes if they pull stunts like this. Run for office and/or volunteer to support the campaigns of truly pro-life, pro-family-values politicians. Sitting on the sidelines will only get us more spineless, gutless politicians like this mayor.
I'm encouraging all Freepers who know people in the D/FW area to let them know and put all the pressure we can on the Mayor. We may not be able to stop the parade, but the Mayor must not lend her support to it. Even if you don't live here, please feel free to write to express you strong abhorrence. She needs to hear from people who can drown out the screams of the sodomites. This story was buried for a reason. We need to unbury it.

I'm not from Texas, but I sent a friendly, concern for the country e-mail anyway. We have nothing to lose, but everything to gain.
That mayor is a leftist. She will only be encouraged if you write her. They might even mandate the children attend if you push it.

Yes. But in this case, it’s a parade of conquest. Past parades have been held in a remote perimeter area of the city. Now they want to parade down Main St. to prove their power.
I sent an e-mail to Mayor Bellamy in Asheville expressing my disappoint that she signed a proclamation for “gay pride”. Doubt it will make any difference. There are a lot of homosexuals in Asheville. At least I tried.

Americas enemies are happy to donate. They can't defeat us militarily, but if they can get us to fall from within, they win.
