Atlanta student 1 of 7 charged in SAT cheating scandal

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (AP) — A Georgia college student is facing charges he stood in for New York high school students and took the SAT exam for them.
Six current or former Great Neck North High School students also were arrested on Tuesday.
Nassau County prosecutors say Sam Eshaghoff was paid between $1,500 and $2,500 for each exam.
Eshaghoff is a 19-year-old Great Neck North alumnus who now attends Emory University in Atlanta. He spent his freshman year at the University of Michigan.

Very little, but he didn't buy his bogus SAT in Atlanta. He bought it in New York. I don't know what the percentage of 'North-of-the-Mason-Dixon-ers' is at Emory University, but it's extremely high.
Atlanta has also been one of the centers of Jewish-American life in the South since before the Civil War (that's not to say there was an absence of anti-Semitism; the Mary Fagan/Leo Frank incident took place in Atlanta). According to Reform Judaism Magazine, Emory University ranks #7 in the U.S. among universities with the highest percentage of Jewish students, and tied for #9 in total Jewish students among private universities.
It's an excellent university with a reputation as being a Southern enclave for Northern Jewish students.

I don't think makeup and a tank top would help me none though. They'd just hand me a broom and mop and tell me to wait until everyone was done to clean up.

I wonder if any of the teachers all over the country that have been caught cheating in a myriad of ways on the exit exams have been arrested or even disciplined. They too were doing it for money. This kid just learned what he was taught. (Not condoning it, just making an observation.)
Eshaghoff, a 2010 Great Neck alum, was apparently worth the money. Out of a possible 2400, he scored between 2220 and 2140 on the tests.
