From how many yards would Cornel like to have his revolution, and in what caliber?

The most their little urban revolution will achieve is force financial institutions to relocate to safer areas. Hopefully they would choose flyover country America. The infrastructure to do business is no longer needed in a central location.

Cornelius West is a creation of the American elite. He is the typical affirmative action “Doctor” (possibly a bit more literate than the average). I am sure he is comfortable in a $1,000 suit while decrying the plight of the poor. His mind is more suited to picking lettuce than teaching. West’s call for revolution inspired Robert Stephens, a George Washington University Law School student (average cost: $70,449/year), to throw a fit that made me think of a 5 year old.

Be very careful what you wish for, Mr. West. You just might get it, and I suspect you’ll end up on the losing side.

Anyone ever try to watch and listen to a tirade by West on C-Span or some other channel? You’ll end up wondering why the guy isn’t in a straightjacket he’s that nutty.

In the highly unlikely event of a “real” revolution in the US. Cornel West would as likely find himself first against the wall instead of the leader he imagines himself to be.

If he were a leader, he would be consumed by his own revolution just as Robespierre who led the Reign of Terror was himself consumed by it.

I wish they would start something. With no false bravado intended at all... bring it, I’m ready to get this finished. I’m sick and tired of these asses niggling away at our principles. I’m ready for them or us to be gone and I do mean gone.

Has that motley mob figured out what their "demands" are yet? They keep insisting their demands be met, then mumble that they haven't actually figured out what the demands are.

That would make a good bumper sticker:

Liberal "revolutionary" bravado comes from being out of range

Unfortunately, you are right, I am just old enough and experienced enough to actually have some idea of what is involved in doing the things our ancestors did. I literally grew up working from the age of six or so. When I wasn’t in school I was doing some kind of chores on the farm. I plowed a mule from about age ten until I finished high school and went into the military. We have a lot of people who fantasize about going back to the old ways but very few are capable of doing so and even if we all had the skills only a tiny percentage of the current population could be supported that way. I don’t know what I need to know to go back to that life and I am certainly way past the age when anyone should have to and there are very few who know as much as I do. Some say it ain’t brain surgery and it ain’t but it damned sure ain’t no bed o’ roses either.
