Rick Perry's led the Republican field in every Southern state that we've polled since he entered the Presidential race...until now. Mitt Romney continues to lead the way in Florida with 30% to 24% for Perry, 10% for Gingrich, 8% for Ron Paul, 7% for Herman Cain, 6% for Michele Bachmann, 3% for Jon Huntsman, 2% for Rick Santorum, and 1% for Gary Johnson.
Perry had a poor debate performance in Florida Thursday night and our results suggest that the negative coverage he received from that did hurt him some in the state. We started this poll on Thursday night before the debate and in those interviews the race was neck and neck with Romney at 33% and Perry at 31%. But in interviews done Friday-Sunday Romney's lead expanded to double digits at 29-19. More telling might be what happened to Perry's favorability numbers after the debate- on Thursday night he was at 63/23 with Florida Republicans. Friday-Sunday he was at 48/36. Perry's poor performance may or may not prove to be a game changer nationally but it definitely appears to have hurt his image in the key state where it occurred.

you’re a guy who thinks another guy is sexy
I only hope this is a frigging joke on this site.
You are too funny....
Thank you, but actually I’m serious!
OK you’re joking and did not mean in it in a serious way, you had me going for a few minutes though.
I was sitting there saying WTF EEK at first
I wasn’t even watching polls back then or debates. I was waiting for Sarah to declare. Then I had planned to start paying attention.
BBWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we can laugh, we can survive anything. :)
if I don’t laugh I’ll be crying
Me too buddy!
I think what many conservatives do is attacking Perry so their candidate will get a second look. However, instead of their candidate getting the non-Perry votes, Romney does (or at least a lion share of it with the rest being distributed to conservative candidates). This might lead into Romney becoming the GOP nominee, and at the end might result in 0bama get re-elected since his biggest sin, the 0bamacare, is moot against Romneycare. That’s only one scenario of many, but it’s with quite high probability.
I believe you...women look at other women and think they are nice looking...so why shouldn’t men do that!!!
“ITs either Mittens OR Perry...so folks did to make a decision...do they want Obama-lite or the man they have waited for all their adult lives...PERRY.”
Give me a break. While I certainly don’t want Romney...I certainly don’t think Perry is what I “have waited for all” my adult life. The best, at this time, I can say about Perry is that he is preferable to Romney. Above that, I don’t see that much positive about him.
Making assinine statements glorifying him is a negative to me. It drives me away from giving him consideration.
hehehehehehehehehehehehehehe
got t go and put the kids down but good talking to you and good to hear you’re doing well.
Secondly, we, ALL OF US AT FR, may do well to remember Ronald Reagan's Eleventh Commandment “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.”:
I am much more for Cain and Gingrich than Romney, but if he becomes the candidate of the Republican party, then each of us will help elect him, or we help reelect Obama.
It's that simple.
You too Manc; don’t be a stranger!
You are seriously deluded. It is not even October yet and according to you there is only one viable conservative. Perry sunk himself by requiring young girls to get vaccinated against a venereal disease and giving Texas jobs to illegals. Two big strikes against conservatism with those actions.
Sorry if I came across bitchy.... it’s been a long day.
Texas 4ever !

So did Reagan debate G. H. W. Bush in 1980 or did that not happen? I believe both were GOPers if memory serves me right.
If the candidates aren't going to point out each others failings in support of conservatism or anything else for that matter what is the purpose of a campaign?
