Your post made me nostalgic for the FreeRepublic poll function we used to have, and the archives. During the ‘08 primaries, FR ran a rather frequent poll asking which of the remaining candidates you would support. When all we had left to choose from was McCrazy, Huckster, or Mittens, FReepers chose Mittens by a very wide margin.

I remember it well. I just couldn’t stomach Romney, and there were LOTS of threads just gushing about him, and Freepers even calling themselves “Mittens”.
Mind you, this was late in the primary season, but it was still very prevalent on FR.
I was a Fredhead, and when he crashed, I wasn’t excited about ANY of the options left, but I read everything I could on FR. I was called a troll, when I had some sincere questions about something Romney had claimed. LOL. Good times. ;^)
