Rush is just sticking with his template, telling his audience what they want to here. The truth is the Tea Party has failed to put forward a credible, experienced candidate. They waste their time on Michelle Bachmann and Herman Cain.

“””The Establishment Republicans do not want any of the things obama “put into law” repealed, including obamacare.””

Establishment Republicans do want ObamaCare. Haven’t you noticed the silence regarding defunding ObamaCare since Nov 2010?

We’re gonna end up with Romney unless someone else enters - soon.

You are correct. And the fact that the so-called establishment is hungry for an alternative to ROMNEY proves that Rush is incorrect.

If the establishment were simply interested in a moderate candidate, they'd go with Romney. I think the establishment sees what I see. They see Romney as a flawed candidate. They see the Tea Party favorites as a parade of inexperienced jokes--first Bachmann, then Cain.

They saw Perry as a possible solution, only to find out he's a stammering dunce. So the search continues. I think they want to find a credible, competent, experienced candidate who can lead this nation out of our mess.

It ain't gonna be Mr. 9-9-9. Ain't gonna be Michelle Bachmann. Ain't gonna be little queenie (meanwhile...i'm stiiiiilll thinkin') Palin.

As of today, unless someone comes in, like you say, it'll be Romney. Rush's talking points, like those of his buddy Levin, only make matters worse. But then, their interest is ratings, not governance.

The flipping, high minded, moderate, compassionate claiming, Republicans poured the floor for this "MESS". They may own the establishment but they are part of the problem.

There wasn’t a thing in the video I disagreed with.

It definitely reinforced my views on Perry.

That’s true. But then, in some sense, we’re all part of the problem. Personal debt and corporate debt is on all fours with government debt. Public knowledge is low. Thrift is unheard of. Personality rules. Superficiality rules. The government here in the US is a reflection of our culture, and the lack of judgement of our people.

Well NOT all of US have lived like liberals or the establishment GOP. Some of US have lived on the thrift and are NOT in debt. I do not have much 'faith' that the majority of Americans would be willing to live and do what is required to 'fix' our culture.

True. But I'm pretty sure it's the majority.

I do not have much 'faith' that the majority of Americans would be willing to live and do what is required to 'fix' our culture.

Nor do I. I think we get worse as time goes on. If we ever change, it will be because outside forces leave us no choice. And even there, we'll let the worst happen first.

So who exactly are these establishment Republicans? Michael Steele? George W. Bush?

I'm with you. As much as I love Rush, he needs to stop talking about "the establishment" and tell us exactly who it is we need to be fearing.

We always have a boogie man we need to be fearing. I have no clue who makes up "the establishment". Couldn't Rush be considered part of "the establishment"?

To: All; Admin Moderator; Jim Robinson; kristinn; Religion Moderator

The image that was deleted by the so-called “Religion Moderator” who apparently had the duty last night, and who has a personal grudge against me for some of the opinions I hold here at Free Republic. That is not the first time this person, whomever it is, has anonymously gone after me and I am sure it will not be the last.

I’m sure about who this was, because one of those notorious “Ulsterman” threads was deleted by the Religion Moderator, and a few minutes later that campaign image from 2008, which has appeared here at Free Republic hundreds of times, was summarily “Deleted by Admin Moderator”. No comments, no reason why, and no need to do anything unless there are personal reasons involved, and there most certainly are. I won’t air those reasons here, but I would be glad to discuss them with the actual member if they only had the guts to identify themselves, even via PM, and talk about it.

This is what happens when any member pisses certain of these anonymous “Admin Moderators” off for any reason, and it also demonstrates how that member does not have the guts to confront me up front about any beef they have with me, but prefers to use the Admin Mod controls for the website to pursue their own personal vendetta against me.

Not being paranoid here, just stating the facts. This is not the first, second or third time this “Mod” has gone after me this way; I am not the only one it has happened to, and I am certain it will happen again.

Let me be clear. I support the job the Admin Mods have to do and I would never interfere with what they do in any way. I’ve had my share of obnoxious and inappropriate comments and threads deleted over the years just like everyone else who has posted here for any length of time, and that is not where this problem lies.

I also don’t usually make a noise about having an image deleted and I hate to raise hell in the open Forum, but lately it has become such a regular thing for one individual to delete images that have been posted here for years, are not obscene or inappropriate in any way, and it is so obvious just who is doing it, and it is such an incredible exception to the way the rest of the Admin Mods do the work of Free Republic, that I am not going to remain quiet about it any more.

Note to the “Religion Moderator”. If you want a piece of me, then let ‘em drop, confront me via PM and stop your passive aggressive BS that has been going on for months.

Palin’s fifteen minutes are up. She’s getting old. Besides, she said she would announce one way or the other by the end of the month—that’s tomorrow. Done, over, gone. Time to move on.

If that means that the nation gets another 4 year of pain - good.

This is absolutely hearbreaking that any thinking person would ever find anything good about this country enduring four more years of Obama.

You have heard about the latest balloon being floated to cease elections during a time of crisis, haven't you? Our very Republic is on the line. The worst Republican is worth the risk compared to what we have now.

One thing you can say about these beltway RINO’s is that they are even more terrified of being branded a racist than liberals/Democrats. They won’t touch Cain, just like McCain didn’t lay a glove on Obama. Cain will skate in without any serious primary attacks.

Somehow I have trouble accepting your premise. KS is known for electing pro-lifers. Brownback is knwon as being staunching pro-life and KS has elected him to both being their senator and now their governor.

because what the American people want a candidate to say now is, I OPPOSE THIS KIND OF $HIT ON PRINCIPLE. NO MORE!!!!

Here ya go bucko! People want????? What people want???? You and other anti-constitution people who really think you know what is best for the people of Texas? Tell you what Bubba, we've already got one of those in the WH now, I don't want an elected leader who "knows best" what is for the people. The 10th was included in the Constitution to protect from people like you. Texas gets to decide anything that is not specifically spelled out in the enumerated powers. If you live in Texas and you don't like it, either convince your fellow Texans to change the law or move one state over to New Mexico ooooops they have the same law, well, move 2 states over. If you don't live in Texas, it's none of your business.

Lest you think Palin is a hawk on illegal immigration, her position is perhaps worse than Perry's.

Sarah Palin

Palin Position on Immigration

• According to Palin there are 12 million illegal immigrants in the US and deporting them is not possible economically as well as it is not a humane way of dealing with the issue. They should be made to follow rules and made to understand that legal immigrants should have the first preference of opportunities provided by this great country. If they follow the rules they can be treated fairly and equally in the country.

• Not having expressed her views on illegal immigration often, Sarah supports citizenship for illegal immigrants but feels there is no amnesty for the illegal immigrants. Priority should be given to the legal immigrants before granting opportunities to the illegal ones.

• She has reached out to the illegal immigrants requesting their needs. She feels that they require more vocational training, the end of gang violence, assistance to seniors and mostly outreach and communication within their communities. Palin insists on a diversity task force.

Do you live in Kansas? Brownback was a big helper in Somali resettlements some years back. Kansas also elected Sebelius as governor, who now serves in the BamBamKennedy administration. You do have to pull back the tall weeds to discover in the real world the ruling class first serves themselves in order to get reelected.
