Castro calls Obama stupid, slams Cuba policy

Havana, Cuba (CNN) -- Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro lashed out at U.S. President Barack Obama on Thursday for demanding changes on the island in order to improve bilateral relations and referred to him as "stupid."

On Wednesday, Obama told Hispanic journalists that he would be willing to change the country¹s tough line on Cuba "when we start seeing a serious intention on the part of the Cuban government to provide liberty for its people."

On Thursday, Castro responded with sarcasm in a written essay published in Cuban state media.

"How nice! How intelligent! So much generosity has failed to let him understand that after 50 years of blockade and crimes against our country, they haven't been able to bow our people."

He went on to say many things would change in Cuba, but only thanks to their own efforts and "despite" the United States. "Perhaps that empire will collapse first," he added.

He also slammed a recent ruling by a U.S. judge against a Cuban agent, but he said it was to be expected.

“after 50 years of blockade and crimes against our country, they haven’t been able to bow our people”

The so-called Cuban embargo is a left wing myth. If you include trade with the EU, South America as well as other countries there’s actually more trade with Cuba now then there was pre-Castro.

"How nice! How intelligent! So much generosity has failed to let him understand that after 50 years of blockade ...

Just to point out a Communist talking point.

There is a huge difference between a "blockade" and an "embargo".

"Embargo" means: "Country X refuses to trade with you."

"Blockade" means: "Country X has military forces around your country that prevent any OTHER country in the World from trading with you."

In short, "Blockade" is a Castro "Drama Queen" sound bite.

If you want to trade with Castro's Cuba, just ship your goods from Canada or Mexico or Europe or anywhere else in the World instead of from the U.S.

Castro only uses the U.S. "blockade" as an excuse for his own failures.

not the only one calling him an idiot, the man who thinks 57 states thinks he is in sunshine when in sunrise and has no clue what so ever about any policy has become the laughing stock or the world.

The left messiah has let them down and made them all laughing stocks but I and others said years ago that the obama voters will do down in history as the dumbest voters in modern times

All the man has left is trying to pass homosexual laws and cross dressing laws which are forced onto the sane normal people and our military
How pathetic

Absolutely. A number of years ago my company divided the North American sales market into two areas:

USA/Mexico/Caribbean

Canada/Cuba

Simply for that reason.

An "Embargo" is: "Country A refuses to trade with Country B."

A "Blockade" is: "If Country C trades with Country B, Country A's warships will either stop Country C's ships or sink them so that they never get to Country B."

When Castro uses the term "Blockade", he is on "Drama Queen on Steroids" mode.

But, then again, "All's fair in War and Agitprop."

Castro is violating the National Security Act. Revealing that Obama is stupid was supposed to be classified “Top Secret”.
