Windflier...I am of the mind Christie, Palin, Newt and maybe even Trump and others are all doing this gig of keeping the GoP wondering as much as the Democrates....that the “one” won’t really be known until they are all ready to make that known. Maybe this is all a tactic to keep the Democrates and Gop running in circles. Playing out the democrates before they even have a chance to get Obama off the ground.

Interesting.....sounds like the plot of a political thriller. I have my doubts that those folks have put their heads together and come up with such a master plan, but one never knows, do one?

Both Christie and Palin are indecisive. Not endearing qualities for the Presidency.

Nothing to do with being indecisive.....everything to do with keeping the waters stirred...moving targets...and the like.

I considered they might not get their heads together...that does not mean they aren’t coupling like a tag game to keep the media off balance and the democrates distracted and question who to really focus on.

I don’t underestimate the candidates understanding that this is a race unlike others and what is at stake. Might be worth it for them to play tag team for a time.

Maybe, but all of these individuals rightfully see the others as opponents in the quest for their goal at the moment. I'd think it would be next to impossible for them to set aside their personal agendas to execute a wider, deeper master plan.

It may have been Mark Levin tonight who said that he would like to see every one of the candidates wind up in key posts in the next administration. I thought that was a brilliant concept. We've got some good folks running right now, and there are a few who have the right stuff to do incredible things, in the right position.

I’m finding this all very amusing. The RINO’s are desperately looking around for a RINO we can be fooled into thinking is a conservative. They see someone conservatives have applauded for one reason or another and think that would make him a viable candidate. I don’t think they’ll ever get it.

What indecision if there from Christie? He's said no a thousand times in a thousand ways.

Well all except Romney.....The sooner he’s out of Washington politics the happier I’ll be.

So if she runs and wins the nomination your wife will stay home or vote for 0bama? There are also many who would appreciate her putting her state ahead of her personal ambitions. I’m betting that’s how she would frame it. She spent her governorship fighting corruption, trimming government waste, making government more accountable by doing things like putting their budget online. While the actual litigation costs are born by the governor (this law was in response to all the corruption in previous admins), it was still costing them time employees spent providing documentation and time lost (which IS money) fighting frivolous lawsuits when she should’ve been governing. It shows principles are important to her. For everyone who says “golly she quit, I just don’t like her”, there will be another one who says, “wow, finally, a politician who puts the people ahead of herself...she was willing to chance losing a career she obviously loved for the good of the citizens of the state.”

Things like this make primaries interesting and important. There’s no such thing as a perfect candidate, all have their pluses an minuses. The only other person I am comfortable supporting is Cain. For me, Perry breaking an emphatic promise (”No, no, no!” is what he said at the debate) and not telling people why is a deal breaker. People may not be willing to go deeper than “she quit” with Palin but at least she gave one for those who want to understand.

So did Perry...guess it's the new trend...No means no for the moment.

The longer she waits, the less time for the lamestream media to portray her as something she is not.

This doesn't make sense. She'd be shaving a couple weeks off at most out of a year long election cycle.

She said end of September. End of September is here.

There are articles about Christie "thinking about it" every other day and yet each time he's said no. He should stick to no.

So you wish she’d been an idiot and announced back with TPaw?

Christie was the more liberal of the candidates who won the New Jersey Republican primary for governor in 2009. He ran with the support of a definite liberal Republican, Rudy Giuliani.

Its public opinion and budget necessity (people would not tolerate more taxes) that forced him to ask teachers for a pay freeze and put caps on school administrators salaries.

plain talk is a Perry supporter, so he/she desperately needs to persuade anyone who will listen that somehow Palin a) imposed a September 30 deadline on announcing and so b) isn’t running.

A Perry supporter accusing Palin of lying because she didn't enter the race by 9/30? Must be a misunderstanding. After all, Perry unequivocally promised Texas voters he wouldn't run for president. No self-respecting Perry supporter would want to seen holding such an obvious double standard.

Exactly. Perry promised not to run, Palin didn’t promise to be officially announced by today.
