To: Breto; All

see post 69. You have a point about cap and trade kind of...but he apparently DID take his state out of a cap and trade plan....

I am in an early primary state, Florida, and still haven’t decided who to vote for. My early picks are Cain and Romney (gasp, I know)...but I think we MUST have an executive in charge. A legislator or former legislator will not cut it.

I thought I would be impressed with Perry, but I haven’t been...

But the truth is, I really haven’t made up my mind. I want Hussein defeated, I want his DeathCare law shredded and burned and then I want the ashes burned.

I want his stupid regulations—on banks, and on things like asthma inhalers repealed.

In the long run, I want Article I of the Constitution to MEAN something...for “ALL” legislative power to be rested in the Congress; not in executive branch bureaucracies—who have that power because Congress has abdicated its responsibility.

And I want the 10th amendment respected by judges who realize the 14th amendment is not a blank check for them to run rough shod over the state’s sovereignty.

I know we won’t get ALL of that in the 2012 election, but if we can start SLOWLY turning this ship of state around, I’ll be pleased. In my opinion, almost any of our candidates could begin that process. (exception: Huntsman. I think he is really a Democrat—not even a “RINO”. Hell, his family gave to Harry Reid, and he WORKED FOR HUSSEIN IN CHINA. Why doesn’t he defect to the Democrat party and run in the primary against Hussein?)

Respectfully to all,
RD

Well said.

I, too, was willing to give Perry a chance but am not impressed..I contributed to Herman Cain last night...my first contribution to an announced candidate.

I stopped last year giving to the RNC and instead, spent my hard earned money on the individual candidates around the country (I’m in Pa.). They include, Pat Toomey, Sam Rohrer, Allen West, Tim Scott, Scott Brown and SarahPac. I’m keeping my powder dry for the primaries and beyond.

I may be out of work this spring and am willing to spend my time working fulltime for our nominee through November.

That's the problem with the 14th Amendment. Overlooking its questionable ratification (some people believe it was never ratified, and they have a good argument), the problem is that it reifies the fact of the Civil War, and the further fact that the Civil War was Lincoln's way around the Constitution, that allowed him to destroy slavery in the South, by destroying the South.

The American Constitution was substantially altered and repealed in part, by a convention of two million bayonets at the call of one man. And the 14th Amendment and associated Supreme Court decisions led by one of Lincoln's most ardent war-cabinet officers, make that violent convention real for us today.

What Republic? The people who won the Civil War had no further use for it, so they made other arrangements. In their language, yougoddaprollemwidat?
