Not stereotyping

What if Bush had said that in front of the Congressional Black Caucasians?

Congressional Black Caucasians?

Either that is a slip, or it was intentional. In either case, it is hilarious.

I wasn’t aware slippers had anything to do with racial slurs.

Every day I find I’m much more ignorant than I ever thought I was.

The liberals only look at skin color and no further. If they looked further than skin color they would see that Obama is not of the same culture of a typical black American.

In fact, Obama’s own ancestors owned some of the ancestors of those typical black Americans because they were slave owners.

I disagree with Rush Limbaugh. Rush said that Obama talks “honky” when he's talking to white Americans.

The truth is, that is Obama’s true dialect. He is NOT of the black American culture that speaks black American dialect. Obama is (if he really was born here) the descendant of a very recent immigrant.

Obama speaks black American only when he's talking to black Americans. That's where he's fake.

Bottom line, Obama was indeed stereotyping a group of people - a group he's never been a part of, grew up or lived in.

If any Republican speaking in front of a predominantly black group of people challenged the audience to "take off their bedroom slippers", his political career would instantly be over.

The insinuation that most black people are unemployed, on welfare, and thus lounge around their houses in bedroom slippers all day is about as racist as it gets. At least that's what we would all be told if a Republican ever uttered those words.

What if Bush had said this to a group of white NASCAR fans? Nothing would have happened.

Same if Palin had said it to a large group of women gardeners. Nothing would have been made of the comment.

Thin-skinned is getting old..

Now wait a minute. If I have bedroom slippers, I could be a racist? Or, is it if I don't have bedroom slippers that I am a racist? Or, if I refer to bedroom slippers, but don't have any? Or, if I have some, but are afraid to say so publically? It's terribly confusing.

Who Is This Guy?
Barack Obama is definitely not who you think he is, whatever that is. Despite his “poor-boy” myth, Obama is:

• a privileged African-American, educated at the finest schools, who has not shared the black American experience
• by birth, blood and training, a Muslim, who later became a member of a Marxist, Black-African church
• a socialist whose politics are rooted in Marx and whose tactics were conceived by the communist, Alinsky
• a master at shaping his own mythology
• completely unqualified to be Commander in Chief
• and, he is not now, nor ever has been, a “natural born citizen”

But a search of Mr. Obama’s speeches dating back to mid-May shows that he has used the quip about bedroom slippers only one other time — on Sept. 14 at North Carolina State University, while promoting his jobs bill.

Knowing how Obama operates, look for him to slip quips about bedroom slippers into his next 20 public appearances. "See, I always talk about bedroom slippers. What's all this fuss about, anyway?"

That's pretty much how he handled the furor over bowing to the Saudi king - after that, you saw him bow to everyone from emperors to shoeshine guys. "See, I always bow to everyone. What's all this fuss about, anyway?"

I love it when the Carney Barker steps into the fray. He can twist anything from being merely stupid to laughably ignorant. The Carney Barker hits me the same way Bagdad Bob did.

What do the slippers have to say about all of this? Are the slippers on peoples feet because they don’t have work?

Hey! You Lie Obama! Yeah you! Your man Jay Carney says “He’s certainly used vivid language, - - - “ when describing your sorry style of speaking.

Well, here is some of MY “vivid language” for you: For the good of the Nation, and your family, PLEASE RESIGN NOW !

BTW, how are those public “Meltdown” speeches to yourself coming along? I thought your year long self-speech program reached a new level with your CBC speech.

You sure fooled Robo-Representative Maxine Waters. She said “I didn’t know who he was talking to?”

Keep on striving in your “race to the bottom.” Socialist leadership is such a lonely place to be stuck in - - - .

Herman Cain once said...

The suggestion from the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza came in an exchange about why the GOP hopeful doesn't consider himself an African American.

"I am an American. Black. Conservative," he said in explaining his view on the matter. "I don’t use African American, because I’m American, I’m black and I’m conservative. I don’t like people trying to label me. African American is socially acceptable for some people, but I am not some people."

Cain said that he considers himself to be "a black man in America" and feels stronger ties to the United States than to Africa. He suggested his perspective has been informed by the fact that he can trace most of his ancestors to the U.S. and it also "goes back to slavery."

The presidential contender went on to draw a contrast between himself and the president, who he described as "more of an international,"

It's a racist term in the same vein that the term watermelon is to a black audience. The problem is - OZero is not 100% black and he tries to ingratiate hisself to the audience and it backfires on him. Did you catch the stemwinder type of intonation he adopted while talking to the audience? I'll bet the audience was pissed off at that also - sounding like a white guy trying to sound like a black guy. Behind closed doors they probably liken him to a wigger.

Years ago, I occasionally visited the office of a woman who was extremely high in a local government agency. Sometimes I had business with her, sometimes I stopped by to say hello after meeting with others in that building. She was black. So was her secretary, who had a cubicle nearby. The secretary invariably wore bedroom slippers at work. I don’t know if she had foot problems or was merely sloppy, but I thought it appropriate — particularly since her boss had many important visitors (infinitely more important than I), not only from outside that agency but also from all over the country and sometimes from other countries.

This same local government agency had a problem with staff (of whatever races/ethnicities) dressing inappropriately. As far as footgear went, they prohibited sandals (which from what I could see, most of the staff seemed to ignore) and also flip-flops (I don’t know if that policy was followed or not). Nothing was ever said about bedroom slippers, and the secretary continued to wear hers at work.

I grew up in the South. This IS racial.

AA’s who worked for ‘white folks’ stood on their feet all day and had to walk home (because of the busing restrictions). Slippers relieved the foot pain when they got home.

Also.....when growing up....going to “the Pig”.....slippers and curlers were worn out in the open when shopping. It almost seemed like the ‘fashion’ at the time.

He’s trying to conjure up ‘the old times’.

Hey, Zero???? TIMES HAVE CHANGED!!!!! STOP HARPING!!!!!
