CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - The United States Secret Service have a man in custody after he interfered with First Lady Michelle Obama's motorcade Friday night.
The Target 12 Investigative Team has learned that while the First Lady was en route to T.F. Green Airport Friday night, a man from New Hampshire attempted to interfere with her motorcade while driving along Route 37 in Cranston.
Cranston Police noticed the pick up truck the man was driving while the motorcade rode through Cranston and ordered to vacate the area, but later saw the same truck pulled over along Rte. 37.
Police ordered the man out of the truck while they searched his vehicle and found a duffle bag full of loaded magazine clips, but no gun. Police have also said there's no indication the man could have tossed a weapon from the vehicle.
The man is now being examined and is in the custody of the Secret Service.
First Lady Michelle Obama was not harmed during the incident and officials said she may not even have been aware anything was wrong.

It says she was on her way to the airport. Probably going to the Mall of the Americas to pick up a few things for the house.

I do want the SS to keep the President and his family safe, no matter whether I agree with him or not. But having said that, if sure feels like the SS are more like the Gestapo than a group assigned to protect the president.
On my way to college one morning I was forced out of the high speed lane by a black vehicle. Turns out it was the SS driving Betty Ford out to their home in Palm Spring. Why do they need to drive 85 miles an hour when the speed limit was 55?
A SS agent had a head on collision on Hwy 120 outside of Yosemite Natl Park back in 1983ish due to his high rate of speed. If I remember correctly the agent and the person that he hit were both killed. This guy was suppose to be scouting for the security detail for Queen Elizabeth who wasn’t even due to drive this road for another day or so.

I seem to remember that incident! The P-dential motorcade ran thru a red as these guys were coming home from a concert; next thing they knew they were on the ground.
