Liberals (and unfortunately some conservatives) can’t believe that a person like Sarah Palin actually exists. They think her persona is a lie at worst or an act at best, and that’s what gets them so ticked off at her. Read the reviews of the book and it will give you some insight into the tortured mind of someone afflicted with PDS.

Because one of the chief psychological needs of liberals and elitist types is the need to feel intellectually superior to other people. I have discovered this from debating with Obots for a few years. Sooo, if there is somebody who is not especially book smart, then they pile on sooo they can show off how much useless stuff they know.
My father used to say that your average teacher could not fix a car, but would always feel smarter than a mechanic because the mechanic had dirt and grease under his finger nails. I am starting to appreciate how much stuff he was right about. (But don’t tell him!!!)
Sooo, picking on Sarah Palin because she talks funny or something, or doesn’t know much about a lot of academic stuff, is a easy way for them to feel superior. But, I would like to see Maureen Dowd kill a moose and fry it up in a pan.
The only time I've ever seen (or had the opportunity to see) any part of SNL was watching a brief news clip of the real Sarah Palan on SNL (with some Sarah Palin inpersonator in the background). Mildly amusing, but sensation level low.
