PRAIRIEVILLE- Seventh grade students at Galvez Middle School got a lesson in extreme politics they and their parents may not have expected.
Their social studies teacher prefaced a lesson on political parties with a survey that asked: Are you a Republican or Democrat.
"In my opinion the answers were highly skewed in order to promote one party over another," said Terry Stehlik, who's child was given the survey.

The teacher was instructed to return to using the social studies book, which promotes socialized medicine, homosexual activities, baby killing, etc. The district apologizes for the teacher spelling out the agenda in such a blatant manner and that parents should encourage their children to read their social studies book, and prepare for the National Day of Silence and maybe help organize the GLBT club’s refreshments for the next meeting, as well as a stern reminder that guns aren’t permitted on school grounds, even in private vehicles, and to encourage their state representatives to pass the millionaire tax to increase school funding.
I’ll say this until I die: Liberals are as stupid as they think they are smart.
I seriously wish they understood politics and history.
Wow! That “survey” is as subtle as a brick on the end of a 2”x4” driven at you with a Mack truck.
Exactly. Who wrote this “survey”? Jane Fonda?
This brainwashing is why so many young kids were out Obamabot-mode voting for Zero and against their own futures.
Record unemployment. Massive increase in debts they’ll have to pay. Maybe the kids will stay home next time out.
The teacher was reprimanded because the "A" answers were so outrageously stupid, right?
I wonder if the massive debt, unemployment and socialism they will have to endure is in fact a judgment from God. Our nation has abandoned His principles and He’s allowing us to experience the logical consequences for doing so. So much for the “I’m socially liberal but fiscally conservative” garbage. Social liberalism always leads to statism.
The writer is a product of the teachers' union. It should be "whose" not "who's." "Whose" is possessive; "who's" is "who is." Oh, why do I bother. I just drive myself nuts.
The questions are also incredible stupid.
Take the first one for example: seperation of church and state.
Prayer in school does not mean the state (through the school authorities) is enforcing it. There may exist a space in the school where anybody can go and pray, regardless of the religion in question.
Prayer is both a private thing, and can exist in school. They are not mutually exclusive.
Question 2: Again, not exclusive. You can achieve a balance between industry and the environment. Take logging for example, you can designate areas that are protected, and then organize an extensive replanting policy in others so the industry is sustainable.
The teacher who wrote the whole thing shouldn’t even be working as one, his intellectual flexibility is bordering on calcified.
Also, my brain is not working so I apparently cannot spell today.
The author would surely reprimand you for not writing it as "Myself just drive myself nut's."
I hope someone has the time to write a survey totally slanted the other way that could be sent to these jerks.
This looks like a joke survey making fun of the right that some lib wrote to show his friends or post on DU.
Then these morons thought it made sense and passed it out to the kids.
Not much of an improvement with the biased books they are cranking out today.
