Harry Reid’s wife diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer (Prayers please)

Landra Reid, the wife of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, has been diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer and is being treated in Washington, DC.

Reid’s office confirmed the diagnosis this morning when I called. Landra Reid is receiving treatment, including chemotherapy. Reid’s folks emphasized that he is by her side but that his work as majority leader will not be compromised.

Landra Reid ....she was born of Jewish parents so all of Harry Reid’s children are Jewish. Four boys one daughter, they are all lawyers in Nevada and one would presume “connected” lawyers like their corrupt father. Like father, like son.

This is sad news and I wish her the best. Her chances are quite good since she is covered by her husband's Cadillac-level heakthcare plan that Congress has for its members. If she was under ObamaCare, rationing, and restrictions, her chances are reduced - how much, no one knows. She has access to prompt diagnostics, access to cutting edge procedures, and experimental treatment. Under an alternate plan, she may be rationed out of existence, or told to take a pill and go home. Sad for her, and really sad for where we're headed.

The devil has trid to stop me but he just can't seem to do it...

Five years ago I had open heart surgery and they removed four aneurysm from my heart two in the front and two in the back....I made a very fast recovery but am still under doctors care..You know I was always in good health and did my workouts every day for an hour a day..but here I am..Doing the same...I feel when God is ready to call me home I will be ready to go..

Anyone that has beast cancer always remember there is so much that has been done with the research and great medical staff..And not to forget our God and our friends..that will be with us all the way..

I don’t mean this as a reflection on his wife or her unfortunate situation, but anyone care to guess the odds that Harry and his allies in the press will try to make political hay out of this?

Stage 2 can be curable, but there are no guarantees. There are many forms of BC; some more aggressive than others. It can depend on the position of the tumor. And, it can come back. Mrs Reid won’t be out of the woods any time soon. =( God love her.

Congrats to the survivors and husbands of survivors. It’s a bear of an illness.
