FORT WORTH, Texas, September 29, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The teacher responsible for suspending a student after he expressed opposition to homosexuality has been placed on administrative leave with pay.
Last week, Western Hills High School teacher Kristopher Franks retaliated against high school freshman and honors student Dakota Ary after he was overheard telling one other student that he believes homosexuality is wrong because of his Christian faith. The conversation, held during a class discussion on religious beliefs in Germany, arose when one student asked what Germans thought about homosexuality in relation to religion.
Ary says the instructor “started yelling” upon hearing the boy’s statement, and charged him with “possible bullying” before sending him to the principal’s office for discipline, where he received a two-day in-class suspension. The sentence was reduced to one day after Ary’s mother confronted the principal.

In a press release Wednesday, Liberty Counsel attorneys representing Dakota note that the same instructor had displayed a picture of two men kissing and encouraged his students to accept homosexuality. Many of the students were offended by Franks’ actions and his continually bringing up the topic of homosexuality in a German language class, the lawyers allege.
After attorneys sent a demand letter to the school and then met with school officials, the school district reversed the in-school suspension and placed Franks on administrative leave with pay.
Liberty Counsel founder and chairman Mat Staver said that his group was pleased with the school’s response thus far, although the teacher should “apologize publicly” to Ary.
“It is intolerable for the teacher to ridicule the religious beliefs of students in front of class,” said Staver. “This teacher should not force his views about homosexuality upon students.”

Teacher do not suspend students. Teacher send students to the office. The principal or a vice-principal suspended this student.
Now maybe the teach lied and the someone in the office suspended the student based on good faith. In that case, the teacher maybe should be fired. If not, then someone should find out exactly who suspended the student.
Don’t forget, the rump-rider teacher is most likely a member of the NEA!
That’s what I was thinking. It was the prinicipal, not the teacher, who doled out the punishment. The principal need to be disciplined as well. Why single out the idiot teacher?

What the heck is “in class suspension”? He’s not allowed to interact with classmates? sitting in a corner with a dunce cap?

Exactly. The principal had the opportunity to correct the teacher’s mistake, and instead compounded the issue.
I rather wonder if there wasn’t pressure put on the principal from the superintendent of schools or the school board.
They should fire the Principal, too. He/she should have known he/she had a radical lefty homo preying on other people’s kids. The employee’s radical intolerance was not “suddenly” exposed. People like that can’t contain their hatred.
The Principal has poor workplace observation and supervision skills. The idiot has to wait until some kid gets attacked and parents jump on it before he does anything with the radical pervert on the staff. Fortunately, he did not physically attack anyone.

Teacher wasn't put on leave long enough. He'll just keep pushing the homo-agenda trying to stay more under the radar.
I disagree. He was well aware of it all along. He either agreed with the "teacher" or he was afraid to do anything about it. I seriously doubt that this came as any sort of surprise.
this is bullying and using his position to do so.
He should have been fired and seek mental help as should anyone thinking two men banging each other is normal
