Hank Williams, Jr., the voice famous for asking millions of football fans whether theyre ready for some football, has been pulled from tonights broadcast of Monday Night Football over a comment he made on Fox News this morning.
Williams, who sings the lead-in song to the game each week, criticized the president for his golf summit with House Speaker John Boehner this summer.
It would be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli leader) Benjamin Netanyahu, Williams told Fox & Friends.
USA Today, among others, picked up the quote, speculating on whether the comparison would get Williams booted from the broadcast .

As good looking as she is, Faith and her wimpy hubby are flaming libs.
Really shouldn’t be comparing The Won to Hitler.
Hitler didn’t need a teleprompter.
What is with the Effing Sports Political Network?
” How dare zu inzult Der Fuheur ! Ze song ist nicht zu sein gespielt !!! “
This was an absolutely ridiculous comparison by Hank Jr.
Hitler loved his adopted country of Germany.
Obama hates America.
A better comparison may be Stalin, or (economically) Mussolini.
Good thing this kind of “discipline” didn’t go on during the last administration, 99% of our entertainers would have been “pulled”.
Damn. Comments closed at ESPN
If only Faith Hill would criticize Obama, then we wouldn’t have to endure that awful Sunday Night Football song.
I didn’t say it was fair...it’s not.
But those are good examples of why I don’t like singers and actors shooting their mouths off about politics...even if I might agree with them.
What about Jay Leno.
You’re right. Yours is better.
Unless they're Leftists...
Truth always hurts. I am sure barry threw one of his childish fits....
Destroying those three anti-American bimbos was almost as sweet as disposing of Dan Rather. The left was never going to respect FReepers, but they learned to fear us.
True, only, there never are any for the left, only the right... consequences that is...
The public made THAT choice.
Back when Bush was president that comment would have given you a prime spot every time.
the left getting people fired does this mean it is alright for beckel to be fired from FOX seeing as he loves to do the name calling and is a very bitter twisted man
Because there's an obvious double standard.
You are right, less than a rat’s ass. Lyrics: My name is Bocephus. I’m a son of a gun. Some of us are born with it, some of us don’t ever, ever get it. Thank God I’m a guitar man, and it’s true I love the money. And it’s true I love all the honeys. But the thing I really love is to get down with the band. Hank Williams Jr.
