U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta warned Sunday that Israel is becoming increasingly isolated in the Middle East, The Associated Press reported.
Panetta added Israel must restart negotiations with the Palestinian Authority and work to restore relations with Egypt and Turkey.
Panetta made the comments as he was traveling to Israel, saying the ongoing upheaval in the Middle East makes it critical for the Israelis to find ways to communicate with other nations in the region in order to have stability.
“There’s not much question in my mind that they maintain that (military) edge,” AP quoted Panetta as having told reporters traveling with him. “But the question you have to ask: Is it enough to maintain a military edge if you’re isolating yourself in the diplomatic arena? Real security can only be achieved by both a strong diplomatic effort as well as a strong effort to project your military strength.”
He added that Israel risks eroding its own security if it does not reach out to its neighbors.
“It’s pretty clear that at this dramatic time in the Middle East, when there have been so many changes, that it is not a good situation for Israel to become increasingly isolated. And that’s what's happening,” Panetta said.
He added the most important thing now is for Israel and its neighbors “to try to develop better relationships so in the very least they can communicate with each other rather than taking these issues to the streets.”

In Egypt they helped oust a long-time ally who had made peace with Israel and are getting and now talking with the Muslim Brotherhood as the next political leaders there who are long time fundamental, extremist Islamics who have called on Egyptians to prepare for war with Israel.
In Libya we have backed the rebels whose leader admits he fought for Al Quida, who was interred in Gitmo and then released, and who admits to recruiting from Al Quida. This is who Libya is going to have in its new leadership. Quadaffi was bad and needed ousting...but not with this horror.
And in Iran, when actual freedom fighters took to the streets and were threatening the fundamental Islamic Mullahs and their terror exporting regime, Obama did not lift a finger to help...but wathced them be slaughtered.
If Libya wants someone to lead their new Islamic system, perhaps the best person for the job is sitting in the White House right now. After we oust him in 2012, maybe he should apply for the Libyan job.

Im so proud of this administration. They are so smart.
Israel has always been isolated from the world. She stands apart from the 70 wolves. That was, in fact, one of the prophecies written by the Holy Neviim, thousands of years ago.
However, Israel is hardly alone. Israel has HaShem by her side.
The more the US and the 70 wolves isolate Israel, the more isolated from G-D they become. The more harm they bring to Israel and the Jewish people, the more disasters these nations will suffer.
In Hebrew it is called “Midda Kinnegid Midda” -”Measure For Measure”. It is how HaShem brings HIS judgement. In Genesis, HaShem made this promise,
“ I will Bless those that Bless you, and I will Curse those who Curse you”.
It is a promise that HaShem has kept for thousands of years. If you look back upon history, every nation that has caused the Jews harm, has fallen. And now, we see how HaShem is, yet again, making good upon HIS word.
Earthquakes, Volcanos, Fires, Floods, Tornados, dead animals, and fish.....and the financial structure of the world. Yet, the arrogance, hatred, and hubris of the world’s leaders and their administrations blinds them to the obvious:

In a very eloquent speech at the UN, Netanyahu offered to start talking before they left the building and pointed out that they have invited them repeatedly to start talks, even in some cases giving unilateral concessions.
What part of “no” does the Defense Secretary not understand? The n? or the o?
It is the Palis that refuse to even recognize the right of Israel to exist. What an asshat.

Says the administration that isolated Israel.
Israel holds out its hand time and again, and gets ts hand slapped time and again. They go and train the Turks how to wage modern war, only to have the Turks turn around and threaten them with war.
The problem here is not that Panetta is stating the obvious. The problem is that Panetta shows up in Israel and insults the host country by telling them they need to do more. This whole approach from this administration is wrong headed. Bush Jr. had it right. The Arabs have to take the necessary steps to create a conducive environment. We all know Israel would make peace in a New York minute - all they really need is security assurances. The Arabs don’t want to offer that.
